I certainly wouldn't want to be sent here to work. I'm voluntarily locking myself down, aside from trips to the supermarket. Won't be setting foot in a pub for a while again

Yeah if it's possible to get out of it, I would try to. If Belfast was an English city, we'd be in lockdown atm, I'm sure of that

We've been put on a few countries high risk groups

I'd 2 trips to Germany booked for October but they've added us, Wales and the North East of England to their quarantine list... So that's that out

The worst is nobody gives a s**t

Students running parties all over Belfast and seemingly everyone is claiming exempt from masks due to health reasons... Shops aren't bothering to enforce limited numbers etc anymore

Yeah we seem to have more Covid deniers then most places. Just cognitive dissonance, excusing them doing whatever the hell they want. There's no need for the students to even be in Belfast. All lectures and materials could and should be delivered online. 1,800 cases in NI in the last two days alone, that's 100 per 100,000 of the population in two days.
