Rooney to be Derby manager

I just heard this on Talk Sport. Might not be true.

If it is true, how does this impact the Forest v Derby game?

Are they gonna be more up for it with a new manager? Possible I guess. They do struggle to beat us lately though so maybe it’s a tactic by Mel to actually try and win against us for once?

I personally can’t see it being a good appt long term but you never know!

The same could of course have been said about Frank Lampard and Steven Gerrard and others like Kenny Dalglish in the past. I wouldn't want Rooney to be manager of Derby but it is hardly without precedent for a recently retired top player to go straight into management at a high level.

I can’t see rooney being a success as a manager. Atleast the likes of giggs, despite being a soulless dead eyed sociopath has some intelligence and Gerrard wasn’t as stupid as he seemed. Lampard was renown for being an intelligent football player (now there’s an oxymoron).

Rooney however doesn't have much grey matter up top...

He'll no doubt be devastated to read the considered opinion of some thicko on a chat site. I imagine he will immediately abandon all thoughts of ever going into management.

That implies he can read...

The only thing Rooney has ever managed, is to poke his little kn0b up some granny’s stinking, rancid snatch

And apparently, he didn’t do that very well either

Mel has been amazingly patient with Cocu. He should have gone the moment he put TL back in the team after what happened the last year, but despite a bad start it does seem to be learning and is making the right choices even if the results haven't been there early season.

Rooney as manager I felt was on the cards earlier, as a panic replacement when things weren't going well, but if we're going down that route we might as well appoint Gazza, because Rooney does not come across as any kind of tactical mastermind. Even on the field while he can pass the ball well most of the time I question the effectiveness of his decision making a lot of the time and his ability to hurt teams up front comes from instinct, not intelligence, and it is much more difficult to communicate that.

Please, please make it be true..........

You can judge the veracity of this post by the few words extracted below
"win against us for once?"
How many times have we beaten them and finished above them in recent years?

Kazam Richards , Conner Wickham
I think this smells of desparation

I was told by a certain Liverpool based Derby fan that I was being ridiculous when I suggested this the other week. Mel likes a bit of show business and a high profile manager is one way to attract media attention.
