6 wins in 24 games?

Just a quick stat for all those stat loving Wanderers fans we have won only 6 games since January 1st thats right 6 games from 24 Premiership attempts we have enjoyed success just 6 times.

January 1st played...24 won...6 drawn...2 lost...16 scored...27 conceded...46 points 20 from 72

That to me is awful reading our defence is terrible and remember that Sturridge scored 8 of those 27 goals if you add on December than it reads like this
played...29 won...8 drawn...2 lost...19 scored...31 conceded...50 points 26 from 87

Reading these stats the only reason we stayed up last season was due to the superb start we had and the great November.

I am really hoping that Coyle can turn things around for us and i will of course as always support the team fully but these stats speak for themselves the rot has been here for a long time it just seems some supporters are trying to gloss over the bigger picture by focusing on the more short term problem ie Holden's injury but from December we played 15 games till his injury at the end of March and only won 5 games with 8 defeats in that run of form so we cannot point everything that has gone wrong down to that injury.

The only reason it looks so bad is because we have played them all in a month
**
Fair enough ..if that is the only reason ...what about the Norwich result? That was supposed to be an easy 3 points ...problem is ..the string of batterings / glut of goals conceded has left the team shell-shocked and struggling against even the weakest of opposition, as the Norwich result showed. OC has to find a way to lift the players .. I'm sure he knows that it's not just a case of losing to the top teams, but the severity of those losses i.e the resulting loss of confidence that can affect how we perform against ' easier ' opposition. We'll get a chance to see next month if he can raise their spirits sufficiently, and whether he really does have a Plan B.

was going 451 and dropping Davies not a plan b?

Not really Holden it was a reaction to public and press pressure.

Sorry .. I should have said ' a CREDIBLE Plan B '

Or was it because Coyle had seen that we were not performing to an acceptable standard?

He should have seen that after united but left it till arsenal costing us points against Norwich. Look at how ngog played when he came on. Now that was coyles fault.

United and Norwich are very different teams, the only team thats is similar to Norwich thats we have played is QPR, who SKD played well against.

Hindsight is a wonderful thing isn't it ........

If the Coyle changes had worked against Arsenal, then I suppose you could argue he should have acted earlier ...but the flaw in that is we actually lost 3-0 at Arsenal .... hardly the most successful Plan B I've ever seen .....

Then again, someone's bound to say " Ah, but we would probably have lost 6-0 if he hadn't made those changes , so Plan B really paid off! "

Well, we'll have to, won't we? Let's hope October, when all those ' easy ' 3 pointers come our way, pays better dividends
