Well, one of the ‘big ones’ is here, the one that neither side want to lose, irrespective of where they are in the League.
However, going on current standings, this fixture has even more significance - some may call it a Relegation 6 pointer already
Forest have looked a lot more willing to attack since the new manager was installed - and with the quality and depth of experience, that can only be a good thing as far as we are concerned. If Grabben had been on the form he was last season, we’d be much higher up the table, there’s no doubt he’s struggling at the moment, but this game would be the perfect opportunity for him to find his scoring boots
As for Derby, they’re start to the Season has probably been as surprising as Forest’s. They’re better than where they currently stand, but saying that I feel they’re slightly weaker as a squad than they were last term. Rooney’s missing, so that remains to be seen as to whether that’s a good thing for us - I’m sure Yates, Colback and Arter were all looking forward to giving a little calling card
Form goes out of the windows as we all for this game. I’m not taking anything for granted. Forest always have the capability to mess things up, especially when they’re expected to do well.
I just hope, and dare I say, feel, that Chris Hughton will have drilled into the team the importance on so many levels of how he wants us to play in order to get the right result
As always, here’s hoping and believing
COME ON FOREST

FOREST v DERBY CITY - Match Thread

On balance Derby just edged it. Best they’ve been played all season by a mile. We were very average. Knockaert looks quality. He will create goals and help Christie. A win and two draws from 3 games so let’s keep going.

Villa 0 Leeds 3, wow, didn’t see that coming.

Yep, still unbeaten under Hughton - 3 points against Luton on Wednesday - mark my words

We handicapped ourselves with 442 but we can write it off for awhile unless we put some proper work into it.
Worried about the full backs as they seemed determined not to beat the first man and give away set pieces.
Knockaert and Taylor look real quality. Alongside two of freeman, Lolley and ameobi we have a solid front line.
5 points in 3 games. An improvement on 0 .

Knockaert looks quality - he'll keep you ticking over nicely. I think he was the difference. He is quality.
Offside?

Imo that was a premiership’offside’ very lucky to see it given in the Championship. Neither team deserved to win, but Derby certainly didn’t deserve to lose it, as you say honours even, until next time.👍

Regarding the full backs, Christie although a bit reckless at times is far more convincing than Ioannou, almost every cross hit the first defender, seems to switch off at times, basically I am not convinced, too add insult Fig’s made his customary calamitous mistake, which should really have made it 2-0, and I doubt we would have comeback from that. Luton away will be very tough, so probably another point, but hopefully a better performance.

You're right REV 3 points on Wednesday; and back to a lone striker.. The Championship with no fans in the grounds seems to suit the away side quite often.

It’s one of those goals where if you concede it you think it’s offside if you score it you think it’s fine.
Coco the clown would be furious also if Forest had scored that goal and it was allowed. I guess it allows him to pretend that they played well enough to win, when in actual fact they could only score from a set piece.
