Tbh I haven’t missed being in the CG for a lot of the games during and after ‘lock down’ but this one is always different, the crowd really are twelfth man, it will be strange for the players tonight, though it may well be a first El Cloughico for some. Hopefully Hughton will approach this the same way as the second half on Tuesday, which was the best I have seen us for a long time. We have had decent halves in each of our last 4 games, but not two decent halves in the same game. Can’t wait to see the line up tonight, but for once am feeling quietly confident. Derby’s main objective I imagine will be not to lose this game, and hopefully repeat what they did at PP last season, stay in the game as long as possible then grab something at the end. Looking forward to the game, but I feel we need to be more than one goal clear toward the end. Fingers crossed for a 2-0 or 3-1 Reds win.

Rev, can’t agree with your opening statement, this is THE ‘big one’, with no Leeds to play at home, none of the other fixtures stand out, IMO.

OK, not long now.

Even though we are not going to be in the ground the tension is starting to mount a little bit.

I'm optimistic as always. We have improved slightly with every game so hopefully that will continue. The sheep are in a state but we shouldn't underestimate them.

I think it will be the same starting eleven tonight with Knockaert on the bench.

Goals will be more abundant, I'm going for a 3-1 victory.

Bournemouth, Watford, Norwich, Swansea, they’re all ‘big ones’, this might be the stand out one, but make no mistake, there are still a lot of big games left to play this season

Rev, agree they are all ‘big’ games, but not in the sense of rivalry and atmosphere, even when we played Newcastle, it didn’t have that rivalry and intensity.
Every three points are vital, but sometimes the occasion is bigger than the result, and again only in my opinion, Derby and Leeds at home have that ‘special’ rivalry, Derby is obviously because of our ties and history, Leeds is just because they are Leeds, and everyone wants to beat Leeds.

To call this one 'The Big One' and I agree that's what it is implies there can only be one 'Big One' the games mentioned are big games, but not as big as this. Of the five games mentioned, if we could guarantee winning one it would be this one.

Or am I being pedantic?

Tomorrow the losers (i.e.the muttonheads) will be saying "just another game" "only three points like any other game".

Anybody know which of their players could cause us any problems tonight. Their team seems to have changed so much since Lampard was in charge.

I know Lawrence can be decent; he is probably the only player who is happy there wont be any fans in tonight. Shinnie showed a few glimpses last time we played them, but who else have they got.

The quality of their team doesn’t bother me in the slightest, the thing that always concerns me, and especially in games like this is the damage we inflict on ourselves

If anything will be our downfall, it’ll be us in the way we play and our attitude - but I do trust Chris Hughton to get it right

We should win, just as we should have won against Rotherham just like we should have got 1 point from our last 3 games last season, but we somehow did enough to mess it up - that is what always concerns me about Forest, our amazing ability to really create a catastrophe

Not tonight lads....PLEASE!!!

I watched some of their game against Watford, and tbh didn’t recognise half the team. They didn’t create a lot, Rooney had their best chance, clean through but shot wide. As mentioned above we have a really good chance tonight, but never forget the Forest factor. The ref shouldn’t be under as much pressure tonight as there are no fans, but one dodgy decision and the whole outcome could change. I am still not convinced by the penalty decision on Tuesday, as I think it is the Rotherham player who fouls his own man, but to late to worry about that now.

Who is the ref tonight, anybody know

Tony Harrington...

No, me neither.

Tony Harrington from Cleveland will be the man in the middle for tonight's East Midlands derby.

Harrington has taken charge of five matches so far this season in the Championship and Carabao Cup, showing 17 yellow cards, with tonight's match being his 10th in charge of a Forest game.

Forest are unbeaten in the six matches Harrington has officiated at The City Ground, winning five and drawing one, and losing the other three away from home.

Thanks hope he has a good game

Funnily enough, I’d feel more confident about the result if we were playing away tonight

4-4-2 Rev, Happy?

I think it is what a lot of us are waiting for.

Arter in for Colback; Taylor in for Freeman.

On form so far this is probably our strongest team.

Think I'll revise my prediction.
I'm now going for Forest by 3 goals at least.

Guess Colback must be carrying a knock, strong looking line up.👍

Well grip it and rip it then.

Is it 4-4-2 or is Taylor playing in the three behind Grabban? Either way it’s very attacking. Shame that Freeman loses out but he didn’t play as well as Ameobi and Lolley did against Rotherham.

I’ll let you know around 9.30ish

I’m excited about how the team will play with this formation, it’s been so long, I can hardly imagine what it’s going to be like, I just hope it’s not too much confusion form the players?

Really please with this lineup
