Good morning Arsenal fans,
It's not been a good past few months for the club.
Fans are starting to turn on Arteta and that is not a good thing.
It seems now that his days are numbered.
My question is, if he goes, who do you bring in???
Mauricio Pochettino is available but he's loyal to Spurs.
You then have Rafa Benitez who's available but I'm not sure if he's the man for the job.
Currently, there is one manager doing an amazing job albeit in the Scottish Premiership. That man is Steven Gerrard
They have scored 50 goals and only conceded 5!!!
He has the leadership qualities that Arteta lacks.
He also has a team scoring a ton of goals and rarely conceding.
Would you be happy if Arsenal were to go in for him???
Should Arsenal Bring In Captain Fantastic?

Gerrard's doing a good job. He's got a promising career ahead of him.

Tough to judge Gerrard really. They’ve done well this season but before that they’ve faltered often when it mattered. Rangers play nice football though and from what little I’ve seen rely on fullback play - Tierny/Saka are capable unsure about the other side.

He's managed in Scotland for 3 seasons and not won a single trophy. He's the longest serving trophy less manager in Rangers history.
Does that kind of C.V get you the Arsenal job?
----------------------------------------------------------------------
On top of that, the amount they've spent and the amount of players they've signed, you'd expect them to eventually win it. When a manager like Lennon can win the league there, its not much of a meter to gage the manager's ability.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Well he's spent considerably less than they team with most resources every summer he's been here so credit where it's due his signing policy has been a success and he's closed a gap which should have got larger.
Not that it matters until he wins something.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Celtic should have made it so that they couldn't be caught. They took their foot off the ball.
He has helped improve the team, though this seems to have been coming. The good thing is that he has been given time and Rangers have been a bit more sensible with the types of signings they have made more so than not recently.
I still think going to Arsenal would see him fail. They have made worse signings more so than not. They need quite a overhaul to get back to CL places. It's also hard to gauge his ability. Lennon had won a lot in Scotland and we know he's not a top coach. He's even done well in Europe at times for Celtic. And no one would suggest him coming in for Arsenal.

Better than Arteta, yeah I'd agree with that.

You can't possibly compare the two.
Lampard inherited a better squad and was able to spend a fortune in the Summer.
Arteta walked into a nightmare situation and managed to win an FA Cup with a weaker squad beating Pep & Frank along the way followed by the Community shield. Genuinely do not think Lampard is any better and would have sunk far sooner had he been trying to deal with the crisis that Arteta is attempting to fix.

Gerrard i think will go on to be the best of the three but he must win the league title this season at Rangers.

Lampard ad also managed a team before taking over at Chelsea while Arteta hasn't. Even if Arteta were to be sacked, its hard to judge him. He could go on to be a good manager or another Marco Silva.

That's not a nice thing to call Steven Gerrard.
