2 points dropped

Tough first 20 mins or so but once Liverpool's intensity dropped, they didn't show much.

A bit of extra quality going forward or possibly a shift to a more positive setup in the second half and that might have been 3 points.

Overall I'm disappointed but it's good to see that we are competitive again at the top end of the league.

Welll .........

.... the game was always there for the taking because the opposition are viewed in hugely hyperbolic terms. But it was very dependent on the starting line up.

Ultimately I was more concerned that the 'ordinary' players would lose the game than i was that the better one's wouldn't rise to the challenge. But, with Rashford, coco and McTominay as starters, a draw is sadly all that can be expected and thus acceptable.

That all being the case LFC were very weak themselves. Nullifying rashford is easy for most defenders, but they certainly didn't excel themselves at the other end.

United are the first side to stop Liverpool scoring at Anfield in a Premier League match since Manchester City in October 2018 - this was Liverpool's 43rd home league game since then.
..........
To be honest this was one of our easiest clean sheets of the season.

Nearly identical to Leicester game missed 2 sitters and dominated for most of the game.

Honestly ? Lol.
We had about 1% possession for 75 minutes

Leicester City had more possession as well but we had the big chances and shots on target. Liverpool whole game plan 2nd half was cross it and then Man Utd on the counter were killing them. I actually can't recall an away game at Anfield we had so little to do defensively since the 1-2 win at Anfield really. All Liverpool did was cross it to us and we kept rushing too much. There was next to no pressure by Liverpool all game. The 2nd half turned into Man Utd attack vs Liverpool defence and our attack won except the finish.

I think both Leicester City and Liverpool games were similar really, Leicester City possession mainly came in there own back 4 and the same happened with Liverpool I won't be surprised if Allisson and Henderson had most of there touches.

With Henderson and Fabinho at cb, and losing their influence in midfield, I'd say uniteds attack was worse than Liverpool's.

United defended in numbers very well and with a disjointed patched up midfield and defence I think it's fair to expect more from them players.

bloody hell, the way some people are going on you'd think pool had fielded 3 YTS trainees in midfield, as opposed to 3 players with c. 200 international caps between them.

Well I'd say them two are key to their midfield and barking orders. Having them cb is def something you'd take as an opponent any day! Surely you'd expect united attack to take more of an advantage?

Best time to play them and the best chance was a shot drilled at the keeper.

The offsides were pointless when they have pace to burn against them cbs...I just didn't get it

wijnaldum has played 158 of pool's last 170 PL games, and thiago is "the best midfielder in the world", yet there are people talking about a "makeshift" or "disjointed patched up" midfield.

and klopp was apparently more than happy to go into the season with fabinho as a CB option, having sold 2 CBs last summer, so i don't have much sympathy there.

Football isn't that straight forward. Henderson barks all the orders and fabinho is the dmf. Both key roles with how Liverpool play. You don't have to be sympathetic 😅 but just seems mad to not understand they will be a dif outfit with them two having to play cb.

Just expected the cbs to be troubled far more. Some bad decision making didn't help at key times. On form klopp was right to have him 4th choice cb but the doesnt mean he isn't a huge loss in the middle.

United should've been bra er
