Right then, I think the time has come to identify who on this forum can actually have a reasonable discussion when it comes to what constitutes a dive and what constitutes a foul.
The Cavani incident yesterday is open for discussion, as is any incident.
I think my post history will back up that I am against players who clearly exaggerate contact by throwing themselves to the floor when they could have stayed on their feet - whether that is Salah, Kane, Bruno or anyone else.
What's becoming clear though is that some people aren't as consistent.
Let's take these incidents with Liverpool players:

https://twitter.com/thebusbyway2/status/1353418016168550401?s=21
All defended by some Liverpool fans on here.
People like TOOR have said, about these, that the players are entitled to go down if they feel they have been fouled.
Apparently they're alerting the referee to the foul?
Yet this, by Cavani, is a dive?

There are plenty of reasonable people on this forum who I think will give an honest opinion when they see an incident, accepting that we all have a little bias of course.
But I think if you're someone who defends the first three and then calls the Cavani incident a dive, your opinion can effectively be disregarded for any future discussions on this subject.
Fair?
United vs Liverpool - diving

It's not the worth that I'm disputing, it's who is available. How many CB's will be available for £20m, or less (presuming that's the fee Liverpool would be willing to pay), that would be available in the PL and of sufficient quality? Few and far between.

I think a bit of digging to find players with low contract lengths would be required.
How about David Luiz?

In all seriousness, if accurate, Saiss should be on your hit list?

How many of those would actually be available? Maybe one of Fernandez or Schar from Newcastle, but neither are good enough. The same could be said about Balbuena.
The one I'd go for from that list would be Eric Garcia personally. Saiss, I can't imagine Wolves would sell actually.
Garcia I can't think City would sell to a direct rival and will end up at Barca I feel anyway.

I think you'd have a decent chance of getting a Wolves player for £20-25 mil with 5 months left on his contract.
City, not so much.

Other options, expiring 2022:
Tarkowski
Mee
Christensen (although Lampard departure makes that harder)
