I'd prefer a fit matip than having a player out forcing the club to scramble.

we've 18 games to go in league plus CL and really the best for all is to buy but a fit player is always better than making the best of his injury.

Agree we would all prefer a fit Matip but that’s not a real option and sounds like he’s out for a while now again

I agree. Nothing has changed with Matip being injured. He was injured when the transfer window opened and we did nothing. Predictably he's injured again so I suspect we will do nothing.

From klopps most recent interview it sounds like the club are doing everything they can to bring someone in. A pity its taken last night to make this happen. The move shouldve been made 1st january

Fabinho also suffers injuries theiugh course of a seasin that makes him miss a number of games. Nothing like matip though

Overrating Matip here as he isn't a brilliant defender, just a competent one when he plays, but he's as unreliable as you could ever imagine.

For sure, the club need to act now to get a CB, hopefully this is the final straw for the board members (if it wasn't previously).

Matip is our second best defender after Virgil. There was a foot race between him and Son in the first half and he won it comfortably. He is good in the air, is quick and can read the game defensively.

I completely agree. I thought we’d have had somebody lined up at the start of Jan but clearly, the powers that be had their reasons. I hope I am wrong...I think out place on the top 4 could depend on it.

We are basically looking for the cheapest player possible on the shortest deal possible. Mustafi wages will be too high so step forward Aaron Long. Some chubby yank defender who never played outside the US despite being 28.
