AWB

Is there anything this guy can do properly than last ditch tackling?

I haven't seen a poor header of a football at our club than him. Even Evans was 10 times more dominant in the air than AWB and Lindelof ( who is not even a championship level defender). The amount of times he gets caught out with the ball at the far most is embarrassing. We had Rafael who used to outjump giants like Lukaku etc and here AWB despite being 6ft+ tall can barely lift himself off the ground

AWB makes Andy Carroll look like a ballerina when he goes forward. Absolute poverty going forward. Our fans think just by signing Sancho or the flavor of the month winger we will improve our right side of the attack

We all like to blame the likes of Maguire, Rashford, Martial and rightly so but AWB escapes criticism like nobody else. An absolute liability in defense especially vs tall teams who rely on set pieces.

So far he makes at least a mistake a game, mostly leading to goals.
----------------------------------------------------------------------

According to the Premier League, Man Utd have made four errors leading to a goal this season (Liverpool and City with eight and one respectively).

One each for:
Henderson
De Gea
Maguire
Bailly

De Gea and Maguire clearly doing better per 90 min.

Yeah I said quite often, rather than mostly.

Those stats are misleading.
They say Henderson was at fault for a goal, which isn't true, Maguire was at fault for that goal as he passed the ball to Henderson when the Sheffield playing was about 1 metre away. Maguire should have booted the ball clear rather than putting a young keeper playing his first game for United under huge pressure like that.
Maguire was awful against Sheffield, absolutely awful.

I'd love to know where you dug those stats up as well, because he's been directly at fault for more than 1 or 2 goals this season I've used my eyes, not relied on stats that don't paint the whole picture.

No I don’t think it’s that simple. It absolves the manager of any blame or credit for the motivation in the team.

There’s a reason the bloke was a shiiiiiit manager and it’s because he’s got the people skills of someone like VC.

Just because he was a highly motivated individual - that played under the best motivator in the game, when the club was the best in the land - doesn’t mean everyone else will be or should be playing for this current incarnation of Manchester United.

I sometimes think he knows this really and it’s just a dig at Fergie, he’s often played down his motivational skills.

But the problem is that psychopaths lack empathy, and he probably just doesn’t understand what motivates people.

I like to think that VC would be rather touched by that comparison.

Do you honestly believe Roy Keane is a psychopath?

posted on 23/2/21

Strikes me as more of a sociopath.

Yeah I do.

RR, aren’t they used pretty interchangeably? Even in the professional field there’s some debate between the differences and why antisocial personality disorders are the main diagnoses.

Dazza, I'm not sure if they are empirically so different, but I was going by the popular taxonomy whereby the psychopath is highly functional, strategic, adept at concealing their pathology, often charming and skilled at manipulation, whereas the sociopath is impulsive and more obviously antisocial. If Keane were a psychopath, he'd behave like Graeme Le Saux.
