Woo Hoo. Pretty much an open secret, but now confirmed by Sony. A next gen VR headset will be making it's way to PS5. VR offers a whole new gaming experience, and can really take your gaming to a new dimension.
Although now confirmed to be coming, details are somewhat vague. But I must admit Sony seem to have focused their attention in the areas I was hoping.
While many instantly hope for wireless, that was not where my hopes lay. And Sony have amazingly focused on my most wanted next gen VR features. Higher resolution, field of view, improved tracking and input.
Although not being wireless, attaching via a single cord offers a lot of important advantages, the full power of the PS5 can be utilised, offering low latency, far more detailed worlds, higher resolution with a wider field of view. All features I would have put focus on..

Didn’t get VR for PS4 as I figured it was very much in its infancy and probably wouldn’t elicit the best gaming experience just yet.
Will be very tempted to get this version when it comes out; watching on with interest!

I must say rooney, I always found it amazing what Sony achieved with PSVR. It was far from perfect, and as you say were the first baby steps into VR.
But considering it was running on PS4 hardware, What they achieved was almost miraculous.
One things for sure they have learnt a lot from their first foray into VR, and with PS5 hardware and modern tracking, we should witness quite a leap in performance.
What Sony did with PSVR, is a great sign for future VR efforts.
