The team in second crashed out in the group stages of the champions league, and are managed by a PE teacher.

West Ham are in the top 4.

Thats says everything about the quality of the league outside of City this season.

this is a scathing but accurate review of the premier league.

I'm guessing this is a tongue in cheek reference to what people said about us last year in trying to undermine out achievements.

City are very very good. It is silly to try to undermine them like this. If you want to undermine them then you just point to the silly value of their squad players and the HUGE advantage this has given them this year where squad has become so important.

The league in general is as strong as it has ever been because the average quality of the other 19 teams is more important than the average quality of the other top 5 which is what people obsess about. Go back 10-20 years and you don't find any teams outside of the top 4 with the quality of player teams like Aston Villa, Everton, Leicester etc have.

Specifically winning the league is easier for them as other challengers are struggling but getting to 80+ points is harder than ever in my opinion (with the slight caveat that this year with the COVID schedule they have an advantage).

The quality of Prem is awful this year, however City clicked around November time and have been unstoppable since.

League is the weakest it's ever been and I would hate to win it this year when competition is so poor. This will effectively be the season without a winner because it's such an unremarkable achievement to win such a weak league. City didn't win the league, they were gifted it by everyone else never getting out of first gear. To their credit, City have adapted very well to no fans in stadium due to having a lot of experience in this department.
