City have been handed it by referees, VAR and ridiculous rule changes that have benefitted them post-City win.
City are at the same level they were at in the period 17 -19 . So very good , the only team that has got to that level recently is us . We are prob 10 points off them due to poor results rather than poor performances.
They will win the league comfortably this year and the rest will be a long way behind .
City have adapted to playing every 3 days better than anyone else
Standards dropped massively that's clear.
Liverpool only have 6 players in their squad that haven't been out for at least 3 weeks, and their defence was replaced by their midfield, which caused all sorts of problems. No where near the level they have been albeit they've had some freak number of injuries.
Chelsea under performed with Frank but did have a large number of new signings, that take time to settle.
Man United have shot up the league but tbh I'm not sure they are even better than they were last year. Just think the levels have dropped massively.
Covid definitely played it's part and the stop/start pattern to the season has probably made fitness harder to maintain. Less funds so less signings. Leicester and even west ham way up the table.
Actually think City should've stormed it easier tbh with Liverpool problems. Also worth noting the bar was raised so high by them two it was going to be hard to sustain it for another season.
Expect city and Liverpool to go back to 1st/2nd next season bar man United or Chelsea signing some world class stars. Cannot see it really with Covid hitting finances as hard as it has.
No one is even close to City atm. Absolute cruise control. If they get haaland they'd be scary.

V good summary
The team in second crashed out in the group stages of the champions league, and are managed by a PE teacher.
West Ham are in the top 4.
Thats says everything about the quality of the league outside of City this season.
As is mostly the case. A bit of both. I don’t even think this city team is as good as the one 5 years ago

What the fk are you on, lad?
United and Leicester had the most pens this season, and United had a pen given to them after the game had finished too?
There is no doubt that City are the best side and also, they have pulled away because the rest, including Spurs, have been p1ss poor at times. So the rest dropping points everywhere and City keep winning has made this gulf in points.
Bit of both. We are a million miles off our levels from the last 2 seasons.
City are a bit better than last year but still not the team that racked up 100 and 98 points in successive seasons.
The rest are more or less where they have been for the last few years.

We have been robbed of at least 9 points this season due to VAR and City-supportin refs.
Sheffield H
Chelsea A
West Brom A
That's just to name a few.
Why was you robbed got the chelsea away game culer? Please don’t tell me that flimsy penalty should. Wasn’t even a free kick that led to the pen shout.

Your statement proves you're a mindless idiot who doesn't understand the rules of football, so I will not even respond.
Looool so basically you are happy to talk about a pen incident but not a free kick which led to it. No wonder you keep getting banned. Absolute spammer
“The first talking point of the game went to VAR after an initial decision in the 13th minute saw Marcus Rashford's free-kick pushed away by Edouard Mendy after Scott McTominay was judged to have been fouled by Mason Mount on the edge of the area despite clearly kicking the Chelsea midfielder in the head. But the follow up as the ball came back out saw Callum Hudson-Odoi and Mason Greenwood come together and a possible handball by the Blues winger was looked at. But Stuart Attwell stuck with his initial decision. “

this is a scathing but accurate review of the premier league.
I'm guessing this is a tongue in cheek reference to what people said about us last year in trying to undermine out achievements.
City are very very good. It is silly to try to undermine them like this. If you want to undermine them then you just point to the silly value of their squad players and the HUGE advantage this has given them this year where squad has become so important.
The league in general is as strong as it has ever been because the average quality of the other 19 teams is more important than the average quality of the other top 5 which is what people obsess about. Go back 10-20 years and you don't find any teams outside of the top 4 with the quality of player teams like Aston Villa, Everton, Leicester etc have.
Specifically winning the league is easier for them as other challengers are struggling but getting to 80+ points is harder than ever in my opinion (with the slight caveat that this year with the COVID schedule they have an advantage).

The quality of Prem is awful this year, however City clicked around November time and have been unstoppable since.
Think next year will be like this too

League is the weakest it's ever been and I would hate to win it this year when competition is so poor. This will effectively be the season without a winner because it's such an unremarkable achievement to win such a weak league. City didn't win the league, they were gifted it by everyone else never getting out of first gear. To their credit, City have adapted very well to no fans in stadium due to having a lot of experience in this department.

That is possibly the biggest load of bollox I've read on here in the last 15 years despite the fact Liverpool fans usually surpass themselves when it comes to spouting bullshitt.
