I have defended Levy on these boards and elsewhere for the job he's done in running Spurs in a pragmatic, sustainable way, despite frustration with some of his football decisions. We've been on an upward curve since he and Enic took over, and we largely did it without spending the world. We punched above our weight.
But this nonsense decision over the Super League, the ruthless sacking of Poch and a general feeling that he really is only concerned with profits over anything else, has changed my mind.
Mourinho has gone up in my estimation if he's refused to take training over the European Super League - at least he's been brave enough to take a stand.
The whole thing leaves an incredibly bitter, sour taste in the mouth, and puts me massively off the club I have supported for the last 24 years or so.
Pathetic delusions of grandeur from all those involved, but particularly from a currently mid-table side who haven't won a major, major trophy in decades.
We are as bad as the rest of them. It won't happen, of course - it's a pathetic power play and pathetic power grab - but it's just everything that is wrong with modern football.
There has been greed in the game for some time, and you could say Spurs were one of the original architects of the money is everything mantra with the creation of the Premier League, but we had a chance here - as a sustainably run club - to take a stance. But Levy and Lewis, tragically thinking we are in any way an elite club, have decided to join the other owners of the so-called leading clubs in doing their best to ruin football.
Levy showed how out of touch he was with the furloughing stuff. I genuinely thought he had the best interests of the club and fans in his mind, even if I didn't always agree with his moves, but that seems to have been all smoke and mirrors.
I'm so angry and disillusioned by this. It makes me ashamed of the club, it makes me bitter towards them. I was already struggling to feel much for the club and team with Mourinho in charge, but this takes it to a whole new level. Right now, I couldn't even care less if we win the final or not.
Hopefully the club will realise the depth of anger about this and will listen and change their minds. But then again all they seem to care about is the bottom line.
I'll become a full-time fan of my non-league club or support Leicester (my uni team) over supporting Spurs in the pathetic charade of a European Super League.
The arrogance and entitlement is startling. They are all so completely out of touch.
Even the expanded CL is a bad idea and another sign of football's over-bloated, over-corporate nature. We'll have a Euros with 64 teams and a World Cup with 128 teams before too long.
Levy and ENIC out

I can't believe any true fan would want it. Seriously? I want absolutely nothing to do with it. Playing the same teams week in week out and getting mashed each time, what's the point?
It would be the death of football as we know it and I'd be out. My loyalty to the club isn't that strong.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
This, Spurs would literally make up the numbers and that’s it
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Don, it would be a much more level playing field than now. If it is being driven by American forces, then I would expect there to be lots of rules, meaning no single club can buy all the best players, and everything will be shared around on an equal footing. Then it would be up to Spurs players to show what they are made of.
I have to say I am very excited that at last Spurs are going to be getting pretty well unlimited funds to compete with the best.
All good in my book.

I trust people going to the cup final will do their bit. There needs to be huge discontent shown to the owners and the ESL. Banners everywhere.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Honestly, WTF is up with supporters like you. Why would you not get behind the club in a cup final? I despair
You have what you want, the manager sacked, and Spurs about to get lots of money for investment for a new project. I seriously don`t get why you would want a toxic atmosphere at a cup final.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
I do support the club but I don't support the ESL and our owners who want us in it if that is their intention.
I could not care less about Spurs getting more money when the heart and soul of football here would be ripped out.

Get in the real world fella. Football is all about money in the 21st century. If you don`t grab what you can, then you will get left behind. I admire your romantic idealistic way that you think the game should be played, but let`s face it Spurs are currently going nowhere, and have suddenly been handed a massive leg up to competing with the best every season.

Not at all fella. I am a realist. Football long ago died as being competitive, all about money now. The club would be silly to get left behind, because of some gooey eyed principles of not wanting to be seen jumping on the bandwagon. It is the only way forward in my book.
Spurs have been given an unexpected lifeline, and I shall embrace it 100 per cent. I won`t have any qualms about where the money comes from. City, Chelsea and all the other financially doped clubs don`t. So why would you not want Spurs to get in on the act.

What I love about the Premier League is the variety of teams you play and, in normal times, the amount of different historic grounds you get to visit. We could be in a situation where we'd no longer get to play Everton, Newcastle, Southampton, Leeds, Norwich, some great regional clubs with fantastic support and great histories.
We'd also be out of the FA Cup - no more brilliant David v Goliath games like the one earlier in the season against Marine, or nearly losing to Wycombe.
And for what? Some soulless competition where games are played on a loop and there's no relegation or promotion or competition. They would be glorified pre-season friendlies.
There's a reason why I don't watch American sports and why those sports are mostly for people who don't really like sport.
I want rivalry, tradition, history. I would like to see the Premier League become fairer and more democratic, something that is far more achievable if the top clubs start to distribute wealth and resources more fairly.
Even then, this year and last, we've seen how the traditional Big 6 - which has only been a thing in the last few years with City and Spurs joining in - can be disrupted.
The idea of a European Super League leaves me utterly hollow and flat inside. No right-thinking football would want it. The elite clubs can shove it up their a&se. They've already taken far too much.
They say football is a business now, but it's also true that no owners make any money from football clubs. Most of them are loss-making. So why not try and run things more sustainably, and get back to the sort of competition seen in the 70s and 80s when it was much easier for teams from all parts of the division to compete.
There are things about modern football that are much better - far less hooliganism, a safer environment, fitter, better players, some incredible quality - but the corporate greed has always been the thing that has threatened to swallow the whole thing up.
The idea of a league sponsored by JP Morgan is capitalism at its most rampant, blatant and awful.

I think the whole reason Levy has agreed to this is so that we're not left behind, I get that bit, but at what cost to football is this going to do? It doesn't seem worth it to me and I'm amazed you're fine with it. You, of all people, should be disgusted at this. But I guess you're supporting it because you like to go against the grain and be controversial. It's tiring to be honest, all of this is tiring.
Anyway, now that you've given it your full backing I'm hoping that means it will fail spectacularly, just like everything other prediction you make

Of course I have been moaning about financially doped clubs, but if Spurs join them, then their advantage vanishes. It is called levelling up.
Frankly I am only interested in Spurs, and at the moment they are getting left behind by the money men. Big, big chance now to redress the balance, and fortunately it seems that Daniel Levy is grasping it with both hands.
In case you have not noticed Spurs have a massive debt on the stadium to pay off. This is an absolute lifeline to get the stadium paid off in double quick time by joining this elite group of teams.
Stand still fella, and you get left behind.
