Turning away from our manager woes for a moment, I have a bee in my bonnet about the treatment of Harry Kane by Southgate.
Southgate has now subbed Harry in two consecutive Euro group games. In my opinion those were absolutely ridiculous decisions.
Harry Kane is world class, a golden boot winner (again) in the PL and the golden boot winner in the last world cup. He is proven quality; hence his £150m price tag.
What Southgate should be concentrating on is how to get the best out of Harry, not subbing him. In my opinion he had little or no service on Friday, so what’s he supposed to do?
I very much doubt any top European country would substitute their goal scoring talisman for anything other than injury.
Those were appalling decisions by Southgate, and don’t even get me started on his refusal (so far) to start Grealish along with Foden.
It was also a big mistake by Southgate not to play Harry in the final warm up game before the Euros started. We Spurs fans know that Harry is at his best when he plays regularly and builds his rhythm and sharpness.
If England are to make good progress in this tournament, we’re going to need a fully firing Harry, so stick with him Southgate, because he will come good.

Kane is a great player but so far he has not shown it on the International stage - and may never do so. Rooney was similar despite being the greatest talent of the “golden generation”.
It is not a question of service. Kane is simply not doing enough to create chances for himself.

Wouldn't quite go that far, I mean he still won a Golden Boot at a WC even if it was mainly pens. Definitely should be showing more though considering the top player he is. All he's remembered for at European Championships so far is that he took corners under Hodgson....badly.

He was awful in the World Cup though. Like truly awful. But still got golden boot. Mind you ronaldo hasn’t done anything this tournament and has 3 goals already so!
Strikers can get away with being poor if they are scoring. (Like the World Cup) If they are not then we need to look at other options,

If you are losing confidence because the manager has said your most important player is your most important player, then I think they’ve got big problems. They clearly won’t have the mental strength to actually do anything in an international tournament. But I don’t think they have, you’ve just made it up.

We can disagree but it is certainly demoralising watching the chosen one being given preferential treatment because you realise the setup is fckd and no matter how well you do in training or the 10mins you might get before the squad packs their bags the gaffer has his favourites only you can’t ask for a transfer. Like you I’d hope one or two matches doesn’t affect confidence but 3,4,5 then you’re papped out and you didn’t kick a ball waiting for the prodigal’s luck or fitness to change…. cheers but why did I bother?

I don’t agree at all with the no service part tbh. Mount played sterling through with some lovely balls against Scotland which he miscontrolled. Mount, foden, sterling all had shots and chances over the two games. Reece James played a wicked cross into Kane who was once again too flat footed and slow to get onto it.
Kane needs to start taking the blame. Never known a player more defender in the football world. Guys a cart horse at the minute and needs dropping.
