He was awful in both games, doesn't look fit either.
Kane was also unfit for the final warm up game. Even though he was named as a sub he wasn't ever going to play. Didn't even have his kit on.
He has been awful.
Although, so have most and Southgate is probably the reason why.
Personally I'd never sub Kane before the likes of Sterling and I would actually try and attack so would have subbed Phillips off for Rashford.
However, Kane has been dreadful and can have no complaints about being subbed.
You can only blame Southgate for so much. Not being able to run faster than a snail is on Kane. He has to shoulder some of the blame.

I don't think he wasn't fit for the warm up games. I think Southgate was being over precautious and trying to protect his main players. The team that played in the final warm up, was effectively the second string. As I say, that was a big mistake both in terms of Harry, but for the rest of the team also and might explain the lack of sharpness and creativity in the Euros so far.
Half the reason he’s ‘getting no service’ is because he keeps on coming too deep, which ends up with him playing in areas his teammates should be - Mount and Sterling especially.
He’s basically completely blunting our attack.
I personally wouldn’t start him tomorrow.
He should be subbing even more players
I think Kanes reaction at being subbed tells the story. Didnt seem surprised, angered or disappointed. Tells me he is not 100% fit and is being given the opportunity to try and find match sharpness ahead of the knockouts
If Kane played 90 minutes in all 3 group games he's gonna look even worse by the time the knockouts come around

I hear you. But the whole team looked lethargic against the Scots on Friday. Something is going wrong in the preparations and Southgate as manager has to take the flack.
Even under Mourinho Kane achieved the golden boot, so questions must be asked about how he's being handled by Southgate.
He’s been complete shiiiiiite. The lack of service hasn’t helped, but he’s been terrible when he has it and just looks completely out of sorts.

People say that, but what does that actually mean?
If a striker is "ineffective" for most of the game but pops up with a priceless goal, then he's lauded as the best thing since sliced bread.
The only reason Kane is being criticised so heavily is because he hasn't scored yet. Plain and simple. And the main reason he hasn't scored is because very few chances have been created for him.
Hopefully he starts banging them in the knockouts.

Exactly OP should be over the moon Southgate is getting him ready for pre-season.
Southgate should start DCL tomorrow, and give Kane 20 mins at the end.
Looks like he intends to start him though.
It means that whenever he gets the ball he loses it. He’s slow and laboured in his movements. And the few chances he has had have been missed.
Kane is more than just a goal scorer, and England always look to involve him as a result. The service hasn’t been good enough, there’s no doubt about that, but Kane looking worse than Scotland’s strikers isn’t just down to service. And it’s a massive concern for England as he’s our best player.

He needs to start creating his own (and for others in fact). That's what world class forwards do otherwise you're just DCL.
Poor man's Steve Bull but with dodgy ankles thrown in.
In both games he was one of the worst players on the pitch, so you can't be annoyed that he was subbed. I get that you keep a fit and in form Kane on because he will likely take any late chances, but he doesn't look in any way sharp.
Agree with others that he's dropping too deep - he doesn't need to do that with england, and then he's not in the box when he's needed.
He'll come good, but no arguments for his two substitutions so far. He looked like he was running through treacle
Come on Harry, big performance tomorrow
Exactly what I said. Even when playing poorly, Kane should still be on the pitch, but we should be bringing other players on around him to supplement him. I couldn't believe we had taken both him and Foden off, probably our two most likely goalscorers.
Sometimes you need to change it up. I understand the concept of wanting to make Plan A better, but Southgate actually makes it worse.
I'm not too concerned if Kane wants to float about and drop in to central areas, ultimately our goal vs Croatia came from that movement in the build up to the goal, but we also have to get him involved in better areas than what we did against Scotland if we are to do anything in this tournament.

Kane no longer seems to be willing or able to run in behind. No issue with him coming deeper as he actually does it very well but if we don't have runners in behind, then we look as toothless as we did against Scotland. Sterling has done it at times but Mount needs to start making more of those runs. He should be almost our furthest forward at times knowing he has protection behind him. Foden isn't going to make those runs very often either which is causing us issues.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Sancho or Rashford from the right side would probably be better for this, a bit of penetration and pace to go from out to in and look to get down the outside of the CB's or through the middle, like Sterling for his goal against Croatia.
