do not win on Sunday, how will the team, country react. It would be an enormous letdown now if at the final hurdle, if the team didn`t win. The pressure on the players must be enormous, knowing that the whole country is on a high right now, but what will the mood be like on Monday if England were to lose?
We have to hope for the best, but we all know sporting events don`t always go to plan, and there is the possibility that England may not win. I hope the fans take it well, if the worse happens. No brawling or the like. We need as a nation to show sportsmanship, and applaud the Italians should the unthinkable happen. No booing the national anthem, no booing the taking of the knee. Just need to get behind England, but also be gracious win or lose.
The hype is way over the top, as per usual, and this England team is frankly no better or worse than any other, they just happen to have won a few more games in a Tournament. All the nonsense about this is the most together team in history, what a load of nonsense. Previous teams have been extremely close knit, just not been good enough on the pitch.
Remember though this is after all just a game of football. It is not life and death, and should be treated as such. Enjoy the game, but don`t get down if England don`t win, it simply is not worth it.

If we lose then there will be scapegoats, unless we absolutely batter them for 120 mins but their keeper has the game of his life and then we lose 1-0 on pens.

Of course if you lose the media have to fined a way to spin the stories and fill their rags. They don’t care if any of it is true.

If they leave it all on the pitch, go as hard as they can and simply get beaten on the day by a better side then hopefully they'll receive nothing but praise. They've behaved brilliantly so far and of course played well too.
It would be such a shame to go out with a whimper which is my fear to be honest

If there’s a red card followed by a loss then the panto villain will presented ready dressed with both head and @rse ready for the red tops.
Ditto if one of the dubious substitutions or non-substitutions doesn’t pay off.

Not the "golden generation". Player for player they run rings around this England side, had some world class managers too, they just couldn't operate as a team/had some key positions missing (e.g. DM up to standard).
Regarding the mood of the nation, unless we get absolutely slapped (and maybe even then) I'd like to think the reaction will be positive. England have been nothing but abject losers in my lifetime, reaching a S-F & a final back to back is more than good enough for me

If we lose, another total nationwide lockdown.

They can’t do any worse than the rugby team. Talk about freezing in a final.
Ok they were massively overrated and SA the opposite but still....one of the worst final appearances ever
