Conte was available and we ended up with ex-Wolves boss, Nuno, who just finished 13th in the table.
We have one of the best stadiums in the World, one of the best training facilities but sadly back it up by signing top class players.
Why should one of the best players in the World stick around at a club that continually fails to show any real ambition?
Kane wouldn't be the goalscorer he is if he was willing to 'settle'. He's got an elite mentality that drives him to be the best.
How may times do you think he's thought 'one more season' throughout his time at Spurs?
I'd love Kane to stay at Spurs and win trophies with us, but does anyone realistically think we'll win anything anytime soon?

-------
is there even a spurs fan who is not understanding of kane wanting to move? is this even the debate. we get it, Kane needs to leave to win things. (and double his wages). i have no qualms with that. but there is a way to do things. ESPECIALLY when its your boyhood club and you been here your whole life
----------------------------------------------------------------------
If fans can understand why he wants to leave, we should also appreciate what he needs to do to get his move.
Levy is going to make it near impossible for him to actually go, so if he wants to move, he needs to force the issue.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
What? No. Kane will be sold when a club meet the valuation. Simple as that. It’s not in Kane’s hands at all. This what signing a long contract does. Gives financially security and takes away flexibility .
This situation is Kane’s fault , and it can be solved by a buying club and a buying club alone. (Come in and offer asking price and he gets his move. )

Kane as a no show is clearly indicating that he wants to go.
Yes, it’s now up to City to submit an acceptable bid.
But as a no show, he’s letting Levy know that ‘acceptable’ shouldn’t be ‘astronomical’.
Levy is a caaant when negotiating. Wants absolute top price when selling but wants to buy for peanuts. Of course this is business, but we as a club should be respectful to Kane.

So what are you promoting.....Sell Kane for whatever City want to pay and buy new players for whatever the selling club is asking for?
Look at it this way. Man City owners have taken a small yoyo club, who were busy getting relegated when ENIC took over Spurs, and spent £1.4bn with a net spend of about £85m a season and bought their success, inflated the transfer market and now dominate the trophies (2 out of 3 domestic trophies av. per season in the last 4 years).
This investment, which massively exceeds that of Chelsea (£1.6bn, £45m av. net spend), has denied clubs, who have grown spending money they have earned, the opportunity to achieve better things and well run clubs like Spurs & Arsenal are head of that queue.
Levy was right with Modric to tell CFC to feck off, and we sold him for less to Madrid. He should do the same with City. If Kane goes to them then they will be strengthened but we need to at least try to weaken then by blowing their transfer budget, upsetting their FFP book fiddling or forcing them to sell players to fund it. They have risen to a position of total dominance off the back of a lottery win and we should make it as difficult as humanly possible to profit off the back of us and a player we have under contract.

Of course that’s not what I’m sayin.
I just appreciate Kane may have to go on strike to get the move he wants.
Levy could be holding out for £500m, which clearly wouldn’t be reasonable.

LOL respectful to Kane, the keen missed training to try to strop out of the club. All respect for Kane should go out of the window.
The only thing now is what is best for Spurs not Kane. And that would be selling him for something north of £160 million.
Levy and Spurs have always held all the aces, not sure why supporters cannot see that. Kane and City hold none.

Isn't City's record signing something like 60 odd million? Like it or not, they have got their spending right and their management right. Of course nobody can say that money hasn't given them success, it has. But they spent about the same on De Bruyne as Spurs did on N'Dombele. They spent the same on Laporte as Spurs did on Sanchez. Spurs and Arsenal are well run clubs and it must hurt that the City and Chelsea way has restricted them, but lets not pretend it is only money. Spurs have spent money, but not got their big signings right nearly enough.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
they also wasted time hiring a washed up manager with no interest in the team.

It's very easy to get your spending right when you buy 2 £50m players for every position. They spend about £150m every season for 10 years. They haven't been mugged off by anyone, like Utd are, but it's about time they were. They also haven't bought anyone in the class of Kane before (meaning that typically they buy a bit younger rather than peak world class player)
