Match Facts

Leeds lost this exact fixture 2-1 last season - they've never lost consecutive home league games against West Ham in their history.
West Ham won both league meetings against Leeds last season, as many victories as they'd managed in their previous 28 against the Whites (D8 L18). They've not won three in a row against the Yorkshire side since August 1949 (a run of four).
Leeds are without a win so far this season (D3 L2) - only once in their history have they failed to win any of their first six games of a top-flight campaign, doing so in 1935-36.
Leeds have conceded five goals in their two home Premier League games this season, as many as they had in their previous nine at Elland Road.
West Ham's defeat against Manchester United last time out ended their seven-game unbeaten run in the Premier League (W4 D3). Since the start of last season, the Hammers have only lost consecutive league games twice - vs Newcastle and Arsenal in September 2020 and vs Newcastle and Chelsea in April.

Well there you go then, all the smart bets on West Ham to thump us, but even underdogs have their day
Leeds to come out 2-1 Winners with Mason and Klichy to score (and I haven't hit the whisky yet

I’m not worried yet, but we do need to get a win. First half we looked good today and Raphinha could have had two.

Second half Klich had the chance to finish them off but somehow it was deflected wide for a corner.

My concerns are Rodrigo doesn’t look like a striker nor a number 10 really. Plus I think Philips either needs a rest or he’s playing on his England reputation at the moment. Slow in possession at times and sloppy with a few passes.

Last ten minutes I said to my lad that I’d take a point. We looked out of ideas and a bit all over the shop.

Give West Ham credit though - they are a well drilled side and play to their strengths.

Gutted we lost though - that’s two games I’ve been to in the PL and we’ve lost both. Fortunately I’ll be watching from Portugal next game.

Putting any stock in the table right now is just silly. Removes all context. Reality is that we have played four of the best 8 teams in the division in our first 6, and acquitted ourselves well against two of them. The two more winnable games have both been at home.

We have a more favourable run coming, and it we are still down there at the end of that, then it.might be worrying time, but I'm confident we won't be

Also Rodrigo was excellent for the first 60 minutes, but we struggled to utilise him as the second half went on.

Carajo I did the same for that reason

It was also full of extreme left or right types who are drainers

Life feels less stressful not being on it

I like reading comments but my god times were better when that heap didn't exist. Its awful on there. I found supporting a team or sports player was more enjoyable when you weren't dragged into toxic online battles.

Why do you think Bielsa doesn't put Gelhardt on when he is supposed to be the great spotter of talent whatever their age but plays safe and we lose anyway.

Maybe next week he will finally blood this lad like he was forced to today with Cresswell and Cresswell rose to the challenge and didn't let him down.

Gelhardt to me looks a similar temprement and I reckon if he was in the Liverpool squad Klopp would have used him a few times off the bench by now in a league match.

It doesnt seem to be Bielsas way just to give young players game time, Cresswell only got in the side today because Ayling felt something wrong with his knee this morning,

Sure i read a fun fact the other day that Bielsa has handed 40 player their debut and 18 of them were under the age off 22.

I think 38 points should keep a team up this season so if we win next week at home to Watford it's 7 points from 7 games and won't look so bad.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Sorry 6 points from 7. We have lost 3 games to 3 sides who finished well above us last season and will this season too.
On the positive we haven't lost to anyone that finished below us last season so potentially 11 teams we will over the season do well against and gain the points needed to reach safety all be it may be with only a few games to go.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
A win against Watford is starting to look like an essential requirement. If we do not pick up full points against the likes of them then I will be really worried.

I saw some nice play from him but his job was essentially to score and he was lacking in that department for me.

Don’t get me wrong, I think he will be a good player for us once we realise how best to use him. Personally I think it’s probably with two up top but who am I to question Bielsa?

My issue with it as well. I still dip in for footy updates but try and stay off the political stuff as much as I can.

I’ve found the best way to negotiate idiots is just to block them. Leeds fans too if they start dissing players and tagging them.
