Re-evaluating Danny Rose

With each passing day I have more and more respect for Danny Rose - I know quite a few fans have an extremely negative opinion of him, but the guy spoke his mind and was really on point in his opinions of where the club was going wrong. All credit to him.

PS - I know I am a new poster, I know I am probably posting too much, but I’ve followed this page for years, I know all the characters (Sandy, Mandy, Don, Billy, Fridgeboy, Ace, Chronic, SteveF, Striketeam), I know all the subplots, I even know about Mr Positive, and honestly because I live abroad the chat here has really kept me connected with the fan base and the banter. So like sorry, but I’m really enjoying finally posting 😂.

What is the football like in Pakistan? Has there been much progression in recent years? Is football popular over there?

European football is hugely popular there, especially the Premier League and most of the fans are hugely knowledgeable and really know their stuff. There’s actually a fairly decent Spurs following too who are quite active and vocal on Twitter.

Unfortunately, it’s a mess otherwise, mainly because on an incredibly corrupt federation which basically runs on patronage, bribery and favoritism. The Pakistan football federation has recently been suspended by FIFA again for a hostile takeover from a rival group of the PFF premises. It’s a real mess actually and things don’t look like changing any time soon. OP Danny Rose was a great player and I was always a fan. Even before 16/17. A bit like Lamela he gave everything, every time he played. The decline was fast though. Such a pity.
