Honestly don't get how the Dier and Sanchez are coached. They opt for hoofball first. They should be drilled to pass along the ground to one of the midfielders at all times. Take less touches and look for the forward pass along the ground as soon as possible.

Its shocking how soft Jose and Nuno are with them. Continually allow them to dwell on ball then hit long balls.

They hoof it cause they are average footballers, Unfortunately this is a by product of our scouting..Coaching can only improve your technical ability so much and they were just as ponderous before Mourinho.

I always found the Sanchez signing incredibly curious, given what I had seen of him during Ajax’s run to the Europa League final that year. Admittedly that wasn’t a lot, but I always found him to be a bit of a limited and incredibly ill-disciplined player, and couldn’t quite understand what exactly it was that the club saw in him to break their transfer record to bring him in.

Agreed, took only 5 minutes watching him to realise he was limited on the ball and wasn't worth the fortune we paid for him..And Mourinho famously targeted him as the Ajax weak link on the ball during the 2017 Europa league cup final.
