His numbers have always been poor tbf.
It would probably be a big help to him and the club if there wasn't 3 international breaks (flying to S.America and back) in the first third of the season.
As I've always said once the season starts there should be no qualifiers or friendlies until its over.

GLC > Ndombele.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
I agree with this. Admittedly some of it is his fault, but he's never had a proper run of games in the first team.
I'd love to see what happened if he did. There's a real player in there somewhere
Just watched that video, I've never seen him put a performance like that in for us He looks like a world beater in those highlights
He needs a run of four, five, six games and only drop him if he's really really poor. We will defo see two maybe three bang average performances out those six but he needs to play them regardless (unless injured). Then we will see the best of him. Currently he's in/out. Some players just need to a play a run of games to get the best out of them. He's never had that in his time with us. Yeah agree hes either been injured, totally pants when played or internationals.

and for the next month he will remain as an in and out player as there are more international games in November. Hopefully by mid November and through to February he will get a proper run in the team.
In the meantime one would Ndombele has stay away from Maccies and improved his fitness.
Will be interesting to see how much he has worked on his own fitness whilst he has not had to play for France.
interesting.
where did he play, and what system did Argentina play?

Exactly, why can't the season start in September and let the internationals all take place in August.
That’s great and all but I don’t really care what GLC does for Argentina, he needs to start performing for Spurs.

Problem is that this is where Son and Gil play. Son moving to the right could solve a lot of problems. The amazing goal he scored against Chelsea was from the right so I think we should try this shift.
...................Kane
Lo Celso Ndombele Son
............Skipp Hojbjerg
Lucas and Gil can come on to replace Lo Celso and Ndombele as they inevitably tire.
Lo Celso and Son tucking in would create space for our overlapping full backs.

That chance at 0:20 of the video is Gio (and Lamela) in a nutshell. Painfully one footed!

Haha that’s exactly what I was thinking when I saw it.
I was disappointed after a confidence boosting game in Europe he's then dropped. That would have been a chance to get him back in the team.
I can understand the tough choice with NDombele who we also desperately want to succeed, but i think GLC earned a start with that display and then got 15 minutes.
Happens regularly. Look at Hugo. Played a blinder to virtually single handily win the Nations league for France, then regularly has a mare as soon as he puts a Spurs jersey on.

Lo Celso actually has good work rate. Some have forgotten his matches that salvaged Europe for Jose.
You won't lose work rate by replacing Lucas or Bergwijn with him in the team.
Ndombele played 10 against Villa so there isn't much change
"Lo Celso has no work rate" is a pretty interesting take

It’s a bold claim.
Gio is class, his just been playing under two very defensive minded managers, give him free license and he will terrarise defenses.
