Wolves v Everton Match Day

Date: Monday 1st November
Kick off: 8 pm
Venue: Molineux

On Monday Wolves return to Molineux where they will welcome Everton.

We go into the game on the back of 3 wins and a draw which will surely make Bruno Lage a contender for Manager of the month for October.

By contrast, Everton have won 1, drawn 1 and lost 3 of their last 5 games.
They now sit in 8th place in the table with just 1 point more than Wolves in 11th.

The Toffees go into this game on the back of a 5-2 home defeat at the hands of Watford, a defeat that Everton manager Rafael Benitez described as ‘difficult to explain’

The home crowd will be hoping for a more positive performance from the Wolves players who, despite scoring an early goal at Elland Road on Saturday, then attempted to hold on to their 1-0 lead rather than pushing for more goals to put pressure on an underperforming Leeds side.

The game will be shown live on Sky Sports.

Conte appointed spurs manager.

One gripe about last night is that the enemy called VAR raised its head again. Its not my complaint on whether the decisions are right or wrong, whats the biggest issue to me is that if you are watching the game from the stadium you haven't got a clue whats going on while the review is taking place. Everyone else does but not the people who have paid to watch. My first choice would be that VAR is dropped, but failing that, at least show the incident on the big screen

On the face of it, Conte is an excellent appointment with a track record of winning things. His big problem has always been that after a period of time he falls out with players and a teams hierarchy and ends up moving on.

A bit like Mourinho in that respect and we know how it ended up for him at Spurs. It will be interesting to see how he gets on. Personally, I'll be hoping Spurs continue to flounder. If they do, I'm not sure they can keep blaming the manager.

I'm not sure why it took so long to disallow the goal last night. It was clearly offside from the first replay. It should have been a much quicker turnaround.

We also pay to watch from our TV. It's called cable over here. I guess all you lucky ones at the game have to be patient.

VAR is here to stay, so all you supporters at the ground can go get another pint or pie while you await the VAR decision.

so inflammatory all the time sunny

we have big screens at the ground, but they don't show the VAR footage on them, when they could/should, is what I guess DJ is saying

A bit like they show replays that are under review in the stadiums at NFL games.

Saiss is in the starting line up on merit and Boly will have to bide his time and wait for his chance. The formation of three at the back is working, as there are only 3 other teams who have conceded less goals than us.

I'm not sure you're right in saying we still have a lack of options on there bench cinci. Our bench is a lot stronger this season and for a player of Traore's ability not to even get minutes kinda proves the point. We have Hoever, Boly, Dendonker and even Semedo for cover if needed or if Bruno went to a back four.

Right now we're doing well, so I say, don't rock the boat just to accommodate a player who, if we're hones't wasn't playing that well before his injury.

I am definitely right about us having a lack of options from the bench to close out a game like i said, if we are playing well and want to see out a game by tightening up we basically have Donk to come in. When Marcal comes back he would be an obvious change for Ait-Nouri in the last twenty mins.

I think the goal was quite correctly disallowed, and the penalty that the referee awarded, then quickly changed his mind and gave a kick outside the area, was also the correct decision.

Why not show those incidents on the big screen at the same time as its being reviewed at Stockley Park and by the TV audience. What harm would it do, Everyone would have seen that the correct decision was made and could have had no complaints. As it stands VAR is hated by fans at the ground because they are kept in the dark
