There seems to be some noise about Brendan taking over from OGS at Man U. Apparently he has a clause in his contract which allows him to leave if a 'big' club comes calling.
I wouldn't argue about the step up to Old Trafford, assuming they do get rid of one of their heroes, but surely it's an insane move for Rodgers, given his history with Liverpool? He would probably be fine while they are winning, but the instant they hit a rough patch, the history would come to the fore. A bit like Benitez at Everton. Unless you are cynical, and believe he would be waiting to be sacked and get a big payoff?
If he does leave, who would you like to see take over?
Graham Potter has been mentioned, I reckon he would be a good acquisition, but he may not be the marquee manager our club tends to look for these days?
Thoughts?
Brendan to United?

I can absolutely see Rodgers wanting the move but I don't think Utd would want a manager that Liverpool have sacked really, it's not a good look imo.

There’s a scarcity of amazing options out there so perhaps Brendan is the best of a not so amazing bunch. Plus while I understand you guys needed to act to get Klopp, it was a bit harsh to sack Rodgers so that, with the good work he’s done since leaving Liverpool might be enough to get him the gig.

Even as Leicester fans, you have to have noticed a difference between now and when he arrived?
Not a positive difference, A apathetic difference, I think he has a shelf life of 2 years and then players dtart to 'suss' him out. That he is very much self interested and as good a man manager as he pretends to be he is very much all about Brendan.
I don't think he would last at Man Utd but he'd be successful initially and he'd bite your hand off if offered the opportunity.

There’s definitely an unidentified problem this season, although I’m not in any great rush to get rid of him. Neither would I be overly fussed if he went.
It looks a bit like the players might have lost faith in the management, but I think there’s perhaps a stronger argument that the manager has lost faith in the players. Failing to get top 4 once was a potential step on a path to improvement; failing twice was just plain failure. If we hadn’t picked up the FA Cup last season there would probably be big questions over Rodgers at the top level (one might argue even more so).
I do think we also have an issue with recruitment right now as well - our purchases over the summer weren’t good in general, Daka aside (and even he’s in the “potential” bracket). I think not pushing the boat out for Tarkowski was an error, for instance, given that Evans looks like injuries will end his career soon and Vestergaard just looks cr*p. Whatever else happens, there need to be some serious questions asked there, and that goes back to the buck stopping with Lee Congerton.

Personally I think any half decent could be doing as well if not better as Rodgers has in the last 12 months with the squad we have.
The question is whether we replace him ( When he goes ) with a Hald Decent Manager or like many Clubs have done, the completely wrong one.

This is just a bunch but for some reason I feel BR is the man for United right now.

He would look like it for a while. Initially, we’d play attacking footy. Then it would fall apart when we don’t push on

Doesn’t feel like anything is going to happen soon. If OGS was being fired during the international break you would have thought it would have happened by now.
Potter is the obvious choice as a replacement should Rodgers leave. Frank Lampard would be a disaster appointment and having people like that floating around makes me Hope Rodgers stays and sorts out the current issues.

Last time the PL had 4 managers with their significant contributions / experiences being Liverpool FC?
Or that if any other club?
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Bruce, Hughes, Kidd, Phelan, McLaren and Fergie were all managing around the same time.
Don’t know if there was any point at which all six (or more likely four or five) were in charge of a PL club.

I find it bemusing to say the least that some Leicester fans would be pleased to ditch a manager that has provided two consecutive top 5 finishes and an FA Cup win. Wow - just wow.
I think we need to remember where we've come from and also consider that nearly all clubs would be delighted with what we have achieved.

Press conference suggests he’s very much the Leicester manager until the Man City or Chelsea jobs come up…

He says he's committed to Leicester which in Brendan means "come and get me".
