Injuries Update

I don't visit this site as much as in prior years for a number of unrelated reasons but watch every Leeds game on tv here in the USA and pop in every now and again here.

Our season has been impacted significantly by a number of injuries throughout the season but I am unclear on the nature of the current injuries that a number of key players are dealing with at the moment and the prognosis for their returns.

I am hopeful that another one of you can fill us all in on the nature of injury and when we can hope for each of the following to return:

- Luke Ayling,
- Jamie Shackleton,
- Robin Koch,
- Raphinah,
- Rodrigo Moreno,
- Patrick Bamford.

Did I miss any other key player(s)?

Thanks in advance,

Marching on Together!

Interestingly, in the popular today section, there is often articles from many years ago, not sure why this happens, apparently today there is a poll of Celino that is popular and a couple of articles relating to Darko, these are all from 2014.
I note that StevieDee, Eric the Optimist and LeedsLuvr were all active at the time, hope all three are well.
I note that Wakey hasn't posted for some time as well.
Presumably all have outgrown this board.

I just had a look at the Cellino post you pointed out and something just occured to me, leedsluvr became the spanish italians user who used to post on here quite a bit last year. I knew there was something familiar.

That whole Cellino era was so weird with his die hard fans on here. I remember thinking he was a good choice, but about 3 weeks after he bought the club, I knew we were in deep trouble with him.

It was obvious Cellino was awful from the word go, seeing people defend him on that that thread and others was ludicrous.

Thanks all and especially the kind personal words from a few of you.

I still don't see the exact nature of each player's injury or a prognosis for Ayling.

Good to see the videos of the others in training, appears we could be back to just about full strength in 2 - 3 weeks?

I think Ayling had an ankle injury. Might be wrong. Phil Hay did an interview with him yesterday, but I don't pay for the Athletic so can't say if he went into more depth on it.

It’s legal now, I promise! <wink>

From Bielsa’s presser today:

“ Injury latest - Ayling will play with the 23s on Monday. "He's healthy now - it's a step to his total recovery." Rodrigo, Raphinha and Shackleton are available. Bamford and Koch still "finishing their periods of recovery."”

Koch - pubic issue which he has had surgery for
Bamford - ankle - conservative treatment
Ayling - knee - minor operation
Rodrigo - listed a "minor foot injury" last week
Shackleton - appeared to be from a blow to his thigh/hip area when he came off.
Raphinha - illness
Firpo - muscular issue
