It’s crazy that this is the same squad we had under Nuno but playing like a different side
Stat on Sky last night - we’ve gone from 20th in the PL for distance covered (ave.100km) to 1st under Conte (Ave. 115km)

It boils my pizz, why didn’t Nuno get them facking running, ridiculous.

Nuno is a weak coach who was out of his depth, something most of us said from day one. His Wolves team were just the same in terms of running etc as they’d play without the ball and wait for opportunities. Difference was he deployed those tactics in a wing back system where the attacking quality, width and pace would come from the fullbacks. With us he played the same tactics but in a 343 for some bizarre reason and it didn’t work as there wasn’t the same outlets. He had an absolute mare with us, but the same issues were showing themselves in his last season at Wolves which is why he should never have been appointed to begin with.

Nuno was fine, he was hired as an interim manager until we found a manager we wanted to lead the club. We weren’t really that bad under him as well, just the football was beyond shiiiiiit. He ended up being a good interim until we got the right man - took the Kane hit, got the team fit again after Jose and settled the waters from Jose.

not sure about Lucas there... if anything he should be up top as an alternative / sub for Son.

Lucas has the work rate for the role but doesnt have the defensive nouse considering that that is a back 5 when we defend. he would be playing people onside and all sorts. Royal is good and is fine for that role.. considering hes young and in his first season, he is doing well and will surely only improve.

Down to the players.

They wanted to play for Poch for a good few years, then decided they didn’t.
Played for Jose for a bit, then decided they wouldn’t.
Didn’t play for Nuno ever.

And now they’re choosing to play for Conte.

It’s pathetic really and shows why they’ve never won anything.
