Yes Lucas has been excellent under conte tbf. I agree we should be looking to upgrade all those players you’ve listed.

I'm a little concerned that our midfield still seems to be bypassed very easily when we're not in possession

We do work much harder to get the ball back when the opposition has the ball, but we are still a far cry from the days of prime Dembele and Wanyama stopping everything through the middle

I still don't rate Hojbjerg too much and I think hes quite a poor passer.

The players id like to see upgraded are as follows:

- Dele
- Winks
- Doherty
- Hojbjerg
- Sanchez

I dont know who I would replace them with but this is based on them not improving under Conte

My team with the current lineup squad, including injured players would be:

..................Lloris
.....Ronero..Dier..Davies
Royal..Skipp..Hojbjerg..Reguillon
.....Lucas..Kane..Son

Lucas has done well since conte came in but I would 100% drop him in favour of a new creative attacking player coming in so we could play 3-4-1-2 rather than th 3-4-3 we've been playing

How can you say Winks hasn’t improved under Conte, he suddenly looks an unbelievable player.

I guarantee PEH will be here next season, Conte likes him.

The two things that have impressed me most with Conte:

Getting the whole squad bought in and fighting for him in a short space of time.

His tactical flexibility.

He hasn’t even had a transfer window yet, but it’s clear we are on the up again

Based on a ridiculously small sample size of how I think players have impressed under Conte;

Kane is defo off the boil this season compared to previous years. Hope he gets his mojo back in the new year
It’s crazy that this is the same squad we had under Nuno but playing like a different side
Stat on Sky last night - we’ve gone from 20th in the PL for distance covered (ave.100km) to 1st under Conte (Ave. 115km)

Anyone notice that GLC has not been involved at all,in the last 2 games...

I know he’s been injured, but he didn’t even come on as one of the 5 substitutes last night...

He’s a full Argentinian international regular.,, & Dele & Winks get on ahead of him...

I can see him being moved on, the same as NDombele...

Shame, as I would always pick GLC & NDombele, ahead of Winks & Dele Ali...

It boils my pizz, why didn’t Nuno get them facking running, ridiculous.

Winks under Poch used to cover every blade of grass, Man City 1st leg of CL QF he was immense due to his fitness and sheer will to win - that guy disappeared until Sunday.

I think we have all been conditioned by Jose in particular to think this squad is krap. Fortunately Conte is showing us that it has a bit more quality than we thought. We still need a couple of transfer windows, but the signs are good.

I like GLC but he is a player we could get a few quid for and won’t really miss. We might get lucky and Newcastle pay way over the odds for him.

We were running under Nuno, but it wasn’t high pressing or attacking overloads - meaning the physical requirements asked of players was less. Hoofing the ball long constantly and playing a compact deep line just means you won’t cover as much ground.

Our fitness levels and desire was at a decent standard, it’s kind of why running stats are meaningless:

I'd like to GLC given a chance. Conte has given a chance to Doherty and a few others so why not GLC? I still think there is a player there.

Whats getting us over the line right now is our increased energy levels, urgency , will power and perhaps the new manager bounce.
When all is said and done, to now move up a gear and start competing with the big boys we need upgrades to some of the players mentioned. It was a dreary second half yesterday and our inability to keep the ball, use it wisely , recylce it should reminds us of how far we still are away from where this teams needs to be. As Conte already said himself, the teams level "is not so high" and he is not a magician!
We cant be harbouring challenging the big boys when some of our players like Doherty and Sanchez wont even get into their reserves, one good game with us or not. Several of these players just needs to be moved on.

And yes, kanes hold up play particularly with his back to goal has been average..He just seems to dwell on the ball and he get dispossessed and then grabs his faacking ankles and rolls around.
We really do need more from him.

he just professionally wins us good tactical fouls to ease pressure... they were very welcome second half yesterday as we struggled to control the game.

The one player I do not see a future under Conte is Gil. He should be loaned out and only return back to us when he has filled out.

Stevie B proved last night he can be relied upon. Just needs more game time. He started off pretty bad but defo grew into the game.

Thats all well and good but Id rather he also was on top of his game and lay the ball off with quick interchanges. Some of the positons he lost the balls were promising. Think we were sick of saying in our househould yesterday ,"I bet Kanes looses the ball" and he invariably did. And this was also in the 1st half!
