According to the Sun the claims by Wycombe and Middlesborough are likely to be fought out in court with any new owners expected to have to face massive legal fees. If this is so then the administrators must be digging their heels in and refusing to pay any compensation via the EFL arbitration scheme. To me this seems to be the best course as I have always strongly believed that neither claimant can possibly prove a claim under the general law. Neither W nor M can possibly prove that their alleged losses were caused by DCFC. If W have a claim it can only be against the EFL and M cannot possibly prove that without Derby's wrongdoing they would have got into the playoffs and won promotion. A horrible precedent would be set by anything other than a "not guilty" verdict in Derby's favour. Otherwise we could see clubs suing one another for all sorts of nonsensical reasons.
The only fear is whether all this is going to ruin a sale or postpone the conclusion of the preferred bidder process.

Did we try and sue QPR and Leicester for their financial advantage in 2014. No, because in the final analysis we should have won but made a mistake on the big day with QPR and didn't accumulate as many points as Leicester.
Why don't all Championship clubs sue Wolves and Bournemouth who both rode a coach and horses through FFP.
Why can't Wycombe accept that they weren't good enough to stay up or Boro accept that the Pulis team was rubbish Oh yeah, fantasist owners, we know the problem.

FFP is a joke.

The EFL do seem to have reserved a special place in he'll for DCFC, as they even went public about preparing a second set of fixtures for this season with us relegated!

heard a rumour that FFP will be relaxed/suspended for a couple years / slate wiped clean for all clubs competing at Championship level or above due to the sheer number likely to fall foul of the rules with the ongoing Covid crisis decimating income.

if that's the case, we might just see the back of it for good

Scrapping FFP? So where does that leave us?

Exactly where we are now I think, we fell foul of it too early. This is only "heard down the pub" for now though.
