Goodwillie

If Her Majesty's finest haven't closed us doon before Santa comes, what chances a cheeky wee £1m offer to Blackburn for his services would be accepted or do you consider him a bullet dodged and best to be avoided?

polloks - did he bang your missus?

You seem to hate him more than is really necessary.

I agree about naismith and jelly but i think he's a better player than laff imho.

i think tho if the guy screws the heid on he could become a top player so hopefully he does cos scotland need a good striker asap

goodwillie will be remembered as the guy who didn't sign for rangers

nothing more

Personally I'll remember him more for scoring the goal that set United on their way to winning the cup in 2010.

He didn't bang your boyfriend then did he???

Seriously though polloks, the significant thing about the Goodwillie deal was that you missed out on a player who 5-10 years ago you would have had snapped up no bother. The fact was the boy didn't want to go to you. The landscape has totally changed for Rangers and the standard of player you can attract has diminished substantially.

The fact a player who you don't think is particularly good didn't want to sign for you (and he didn't, despite what many on here and the old 606 seemed to think) is what makes that significant.

ivan as i see it he would be lucky to ever sign for a club nearly as good as rangers

but i'm biased

i always said he wasn't that good as some may remember on the bbc site

to be honest i don't believe the goodwillie offer was real

whyte dosen't have 2 milliom i'm affraid

i genuinely believe he was trying to dupe us into beileveing he was making bid bids

when he certainly wasn't

I think if it was real he would have crapped himself if United had actually accepted it!

Thankfully he always had the back up plan of only offering half the wages on offer from Blackburn.

definetly

the day he didn't have the blackbuurn medical and travveled back rangers had offered2 million cash

when we heard he had canceled the bburn medical we changed the offer back to 2 million in 4 instalments(this confirmed by gordon smith on bbc radoi scotland just after window closed)

it was never real in my mind

every player we singed this summer was under 500k

lee wallace is 1.5million in three instalments of 500k
