Id take him in a heartbeat. McCoist might be watching that one carefully, hes not getting a game and the guy who signed him will be gone soon. When, not if, a new manager comes in it might be worth a loan bid in Jan for the rest of the season. After that who knows.

Why would Blackburn consider such an offer?

Stupid.

So what you're suggesting is Blackburn, who have just paid £2million for a player, would offload him after just 4 months for half that value even though he's been getting starts when fit? (he started right wing on Saturday and has been injured the last couple of weeks)

There's only one smiley for this.....

If somebody offered you less money than you paid for ......... (insert one of your recent deadbeat signings) would you not be tempted to accept it?

They wouldnt consider 1m, no chance. However when their new manager comes in its often the case that players signed by the old regime find they are the first to be told they have no future. If you are Goodwillie and you look at the team you support showing an interest, and the potential to get back playing every week and win medals, then im pretty sure he would come up on loan from Jan to May. After that who knows, maybe he will enjoy it and want a perm deal, maybe Blackburn will put him up for sale. Its worth keeping an eye on, McCoist obviously rates him.

They will get relegated but wont sell him for under 2.5m

He's good enough for the SPL not for the top flight.

He might do ok for us in the Championship next season!

PieEater - Goodwillie is more than good enough for the EPL. He picked the wrong Premiership club to go to, but hes a player. Hes maybe not quite ready yet but in a couple of years he will be a top striker at any level.

We are going fine now,but without Naisy yesterday we were less effective................if Jelly or Laff got hurt we have Healy or Fleck to come in and that is worrying,so keep tabs on Goodwillie,or another striker for January.

Lafferty was on the plane back to Belfast this afternoon and the big guy looks happy.

Dundee United aren't looking to sign him.

To be fair to him, he has went to the worst team in the EPL and has at least looked alot more interested than some of their more established players from what I've seen.

He should have been eased into that league, but because they have nobody else and have a terrible manager in charge he's been thrown in at the deep end and hasn't been given any help.

Goodie will prove his worth down south. He won't be coming back up the road.

I really hope he does but would hate to see him go the way of a lot of Scots who went down there too early and just lost all confidence.

Bolton are the worst team in the prem, we just have the worst manager. You can have him back if you like.

I honestly believe Goodwillie will do well in the Championship and I hope that does his confidence good if we make it back to the prem...

The one thing about Goodwillie is that he genuinely believes he's good enough. If there was ever a player who has the confidence to go down there and believe that he belongs there it's him.

He's no Shaun Maloney.

Pie - it might possibly have been better for him to go down to the Championship for experience, however what you're forgetting is that the Championship is in fact a terrible, terrible league full of big dumplings who have a weekly contest of seeing who can kick the ball the furthest. Occasionally one of them has the foresight to put the ball in the goal. Very rarely does any football break out.

I'm not sure it would benefit him as a player.

PieEater - Can I ask what is it about Kean that Blackburn fans dislike so much? Its unusual to have a protest about a manager this early into a season. I know results havent been great but the fans seem to genuinely hate him and I just wondered why as I dont know enough about it? Is it his personality, signings, tactics? It cant just be that the football is bad as you had Allardyce before who isnt exactly renowned for pretty football.

no in juanuary but he will almoslt definetly leave bburn within a year or two

new manager comes in next week or two and he could be out of the picture

we have better players than goodwillie though

Smid, I think him replacing Big Sam was a joke. Sam saved us from relegation, sold about £25m worth of players and took us to 10th.

Kean comes in from number three because "he works hard" and has continually talked of us challenging for the Champions league... No seriously he has. Lies to the (idiot) owners, the fans and the police. Talks about improving our style of play - attacking football and goals are good things, not when you're watching the opposition doing it though.

The latest Keanism is his interview from today stating that he will protect the players and take the criticisms of the fans rather than the players having to face it.

Erm... What part of 'Kean Out' does he not understand?

yeah pollocks your team are immense i bet your glad that the 21st bid for GW got rejected eh

Sandaza is on a one year deal at StJ. He would be an ideal back up striker and would cost a lot less than £1m.

28 year old probably worth a three year deal, admittedly he has been a bit injury prone, but if he is fit
he could well fit in at Ibrox.

That's not to mention the fact he's more points on his license than he has as Rovers manager!

Fair enough I knew about him getting the job in suspicious circumstances but not about the rest. From up here hes not done a great job but I havent had the same insight as a Blackburn fan into the details of how hes done. Dont think he has long though.
