Was expecting a 4-0 defeat today, didn't know what lineup would be but worry about our ability to score goals.
Thought we started really well, then Koch gets effectively head butted by Mctominay, blood everywhere, surely should have been a yellow card for dangerous play.
Fernandes was whining all the time, but referee let things flow and match was very competitive.
I've always felt Llorente makes me nervous and here comes a corner and his defending was non existent, Maguire header 0-1.
Poor ball forwards d sees Llorente in centre circle as Lindelof waltzes his way to our penalty box and there's no way Llorente gets back, its 0-2.
Two soft goals but I thought we were actually playing well, despite Pgba getting the better of Forshaw every time.
Melsier's distribution was really poor, makes me nervous, where has the distribution from that Arsenal cup game gone?
Bold substitutions at half time to bring on Raphinha and Gelhardt and another rejig of the side and there seems to be mroe energy.
Rodrigo came more into the game, wished he'd been more up top to start with and glad that Gelhardt was on with Rodrigo instead of replacing him.
Great tackling and press from Leeds sees Dan James able to provide cross that Raphiniha tucks in......VAR delays all the celebrations though, but once goal given, we have to keep the pressure up.
Really poor ball from Struijk puts Firpo in trouble and man u get a third, then Struijk gets mugged by Fernandes for a fourth,
If Klich had his shooting boots on, if Gelhardt got one more chance, if we'd taken Koch substitution as a concussion one, we might have gotten something but overall result was fair.
Having said this, I think that the effort and football is good enough to keep us up.
Forshaw was immense, Struik good oin parts yet still cost us 2 goals, Llorente is just a liability waiting to happen and Firpo just looked dead on his feet.
Thought James was ok, but to see him at his best we need balls over the top that he can chase.
Hope Koch isn't badly injured but also wonder about Firpo, he was a passenger for last 10 minutes.
2-4, a better scoreline that I thought we'd get but disappointing after getting it back to 2-2, hope they take the best from that and really take the game to Liverpool on Wednesday

Looking at our remaining fixture I can see us also getting 14/15 points but not in the same way as others have posted but iether way with key players returning and more recovery time inbetween games we should just about get over the line but it's going to be edgy and extremely emotional!

Nothing has changed regards defending over the entire time Bielsa has been in charge.
We're ****ing useless running around like ****ing idiots. Keystone cops anyone
A comment on not 606...... seems he agrees

Why would anyone here give a flying crap about anything those idiots over on not606 have to say about anything?

Feeling pretty good today in the grand scheme of things.
We have great supporters who I think will help us get over
the line and stay up. I still think it won't be easy and
we may end up 17th. But 17th is all we need.

Me too Batty I was sick as the old preverbial but a good night's sleep and actually thinking about our overall performance yesterday I think we should not be too pessimistic.
I think we'll all agree that 2nd half was reminiscent of when we came back from 2 nil against Millwall in our promotion season.
Great drama, amazing atmosphere and a better rub of the green and ref/VAR decisions over the Mctomnay incident could have seen us get a result against according to my Man Utd friends... Yes I do have good friends that avidly follow Man U, they said yesterday that was by far their best away performance of the season and Pogpa"s best game by a mile too.
At the end of the day we realistically need 5 wins from 14 matches. Bielsa in his whole coaching career has never failed to achieve that ratio of wins and although his defeats are higher than average so are his victories.

I should have said Bielsa has never failed to get at least 15 points from 14 games as he did with us this season after we beat C. Palace 1 nil.

I would love to share the optimism, but we are actually getting worse, game by game, and if we think the pressure is bad now, wait till those 'must win' games come around. Bielsa is feeling the pressure too and he is making fundamental mistakes. The Man U game was there to be won and we blew it. We should rest key players against Liverpool and focus on getting a point from Spurs, and start to steady the ship. Losing Koch and Hjelde in two matches is just another disaster in a season full of them.

If you look at how Dyche has managed his team through a season of poor results, he is consistently calm and does not panic. For us, relegation is the end-of-life-as-we-know-it event and it gets into the mind of our players. Burnley actually play better under pressure.

Just hoping Weghorst doesn't turn out to be transfer of the January Window.

The Aaronsen debacle highlights the deficiencies in our transfer policy. We make a fuss about it, the players get excited about it, then it all fizzles out. Burnley say nothing, sell Wood, say nothing, bring in Weghorst, say nothing, let his football speak for itseld. How did our genius DOF miss Weghorst? All his so-called stats and data and high powered research, and he misses a striker who is scoring goals in the Bundesliga, who chooses Burnley? How did Dyche manage to sell that to him? I wouldn't send my dog to Burnley. Sorry, but Victor has blown it big time in this window and should have told Bielsa, we are getting a striker or a midfielder and you will do what you are paid to do, coach the team.

Let's see what happens Wednesday night. If we lose heavily and by that I mean by 4 goals or more then my optimistic outlook will definitely need to be re assessed.
