Hope you guys don’t mind, I just wanted to give it a go
The big one is here at last, the kind of game that we took for granted in years gone by - the kind of game when, once upon a time, we might even have been favourites to get a result
There’s a huge amount of emotion and history attached this fixture going back to the late 70’s
Robbo’s penalty at Old Trafford to give us our 1st League Cup, Garry Birtles 1st ever goal, Colin Barrett’s 89th minute volley - all great memories
Both teams have injuries, Forest are without 3 key defenders, but hopefully a chance for others who have been waiting to step up to the mark. Liverpool are also without Trent Alexander-Arnold, but no doubt they’ll have a multi-million pound replacement ready to fill in
Steve Cooper and his staff have performed absolute miracles over the past few months, the team are playing with confidence and flair, and are proving to be very hard to beat - if they turn up on the day and perform like we know they can, then there’s always a chance
Of course there’s no doubt Liverpool are red hot favourites to go through, but so long as Forest play with passion and give all they can, then irrespective of the score, there’ll be no bad feelings from any of the Forest supporters
COME ON FOREST - make us proud, enjoy the spectacle, and thank you for giving us this opportunity
Let’s hope it’s the start of a fixture that will once again become the norm
On a side note, I think Klopp is a great, great manager, probably the best out there at present, and a really decent person to go with it - he wears his heart on his sleeve, is honest and real - I have massive respect for him and the team he has assembled at Liverpool

Thanks to all the reasonable Liverpool fans for the banter tonight.
I hope you beat City to the title because I have a lot of respect for you guys and, although I like Guardiola as a coach, I can't stand the City ethos. If Guardiola was your coach, I think that would be a match made in heaven.
Good luck for your quest for the title and the Champion's League

Appreciated and hope Forest can come up too. We could do more joint threads.

Seen this many many times....last 25mins the opposition team always tires....the amount of work they have to do is not sustainable.
You will see...
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Turns out you were taking rubbish
----------------------------------------------------------------------
It’s GB ffs, he’s the village idiot of JA.. bless.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Igor...where have you been?!
Preparing for your protracted stay in League One I’d imagine.
Seven games...eight points...zero chance.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
I don’t think they will be league one ‘chile. They will have no players, no manager, no ground. = Liquidation.
Sad for them really but for all the cheating years that’s what they get.

Anyway on more relevant Matters, I think yesterday proved the team we have now (with no injuries) could hold its own in the Prem. Not against the very top teams when they are full strength, but maybe enough to survive. Even as it is with our injuries we still have enough to challenge strongly for the playoffs.

I totally agree - the only elephant in the room is
1. Whilst we have a great squad
2. There’s nobody to fear in this always
3. We have games in hand
4. The 3rd best goal difference
5. Amazing mental strength
6. We never give up
7. Perhaps one of, if not THE fittest teams in the League
It is still the Playoffs and a complete lottery, all of the above counts for nothing on the day & and we’ve previously never got past the 1st stage
Personally, I think it’ll be a travesty if this team doesn’t go up this year - it would almost certainly spell the end of this team and aways as no doubt we’ll list at least 6 of them come the summer is we’re still in this League
If that happens, then Steve Cooper has a momentous job of rebuilding and getting the team ready form the new season - whilst I have total trust in him, I fear that he could easily be poached by a bigger and more lucrative deal elsewhere
These are al hypotheticals of course, but it does drive home the importance of the next 12….hopefully 15 games
So proud of the entire team and what we showed the nation yesterday - I think there are a lot of supporters of other teams that would love to see us in the Premiership up and above the likes of Watford, Fulham, Bournemouth, Brighton, Burnley, Norwich etc etc

Should say 10, hopefully 13 games*

Yes ten games. Five wins will give us 73 points which I think will be enough. Udders, Blackburn, and QPR are dropping points.
Our next three games are Blackpool away, Cov and Brum at home. If we can get seven or more points from those games we should be in a strong position for the run in.
