performance today, that Spurs did not score at least half a dozen, only they will know why, after fluffing a few one on ones, against a West Ham side, who were really outclassed from start to finish. West Ham had one shot, and two corners as their only real threat all game. Spurs should have buried them, but the 3-1 win was very welcome.
As I have been saying for a while, I don`t expect Spurs to be dropping many points until the the of the season, with Liverpool in reality the only really problem match. Pressure will really start to ramp up on Arsenal now with Spurs breathing right down their necks, and they still have to come to WHL for their annual beating.
Cannot think of one minus today, other than once again not being able to defend a corner to save their lives. If the CBs cannot do it, maybe Lloris has to stop standing on the line and start to command his area more. He needs to be the third CB, and start coming out and punching more. Usually the goalie gets the benefit of the doubt if he ends on the floor, so maybe go for that plan at corners.
Some excellent performances today, Romero, PEH, Bentacur, Kulu, Son, Kane the list is endless, and at long last it looks like it is not just having to rely on one or two to get a result. And those supporters who wanted Son dropped. Clueless.
That`s 19 goals scored now, in the last seven Prem games. Spurs look to have timed their best form to perfection.
Just as Spurs are finally looking good, yet another International break to stop the momentum. That said Newcastle at home after the break surely has to be another three points.
Great day to be a Spurs fan, Spanners back in their box after their cup final.
COYS
PS PSG getting pumped 3-0 by Monaco. Poch having a mare. Yes he may win the pub league, but he looks a bit out of his depth at a supposedly top club. I reckon he may lose his job before very long.
Another three points and a very decent

If Paratici can get Dybala on a free it'd be up there with him convincing Conte to sign. I really think we'll need CL, though.

As long as we're not in the sheity conference thing

Bales, Europa is a decent competition, and about Spurs level right now. Spurs are really not quite ready for competing in the CL. That said, European football is not that great at the moment.

I think we’re all forgetting losses at home to a poor United side, Southampton and Wolves. I guarantee we won’t win all our home games between now and the end of the season, we will kock at least one of them up.
Has anyone actually seen our home record against Newcastle over the last 5/6 years? We very rarely beat them

Arsenal still have Chelsea away, West Ham Away, Spurs Away, Southampton Away, Palace away and United at home. That’s tough and I honestly wouldn’t be surprised if they only won 1 or 2 of those.
United have an awful fixture list as well, no way are they getting more than 5 wins from the final 9.
We have relatively sedate fixtures, we have a guaranteed loss at Anfield and we will struggle away to Villa. The other 2 away games though are Brentford and Norwich - Norwich being the last game of the season so probably already down.
Our home fixtures, Arsenal aside, on paper are very straight forwards:
Newcastle
Leicester
Brighton
Burnley
Arsenal
We have an appalling home record against Newcastle though and Leicester have turned us over a couple of times, however they will still be in Europe so I’m relatively confident about that one. Burnley is the penultimate game of the season, so once again they may already be down at that point and Brighton are in free fall.
In Summary, I expect the NLD to decide 4th and don’t think United will get close.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Striketeam7, where do you get the idea that Spurs have an appalling record against Newcastle. Last 13 played Spurs have won 8, drawn 2, and lost just 3. Last Nine games even better Spurs have won six drawn 2 and lost just once.
I think you need to fact check better mate.

We will be in pot 2 though Sandy and you would have to fancy us to get out of the group. We won’t win it, but it will help us attract better players and could be key in retaining Kane for one more season.
My main problem with the Europa and the conference competition is that Spurs have shown time and time again that as a club we just will not take it seriously. I don’t know why, but as soon as the schedule begins to bite we dump the Europa like a sack of tuuurd and put all efforts into trying to reach top 4 again

Good win against a Wetspam side that was probably tired from their Europa game.
Kane showed a master class on passing and keeping the ball. I think he could play every position on the pitch except goalie.
As I posted last week, he deserves to win something!
And Son, well he's the guy that make's Kane's day!
Bentancur and Kulushevski are showing up as class additions. Bentancur is terrific in the middle, and Kulushevski is not one to pass backwards.
Just wish he could shoot.
Same goes for Reguilon. I hear Real Madrid want him back! No way, Jose!
We need a better replacement for Doherty than Royal..
Romero is showing well. Now for a better Davies!
Now we need to beat everyone, particularly the Arsenholes.

This West Ham were tired from their European game in midweek is really starting to grate now.
This was mentioned dozens of times by the match commentator to back up his agenda throughout the game, but only once did he mention Spurs too had a midweek game.
Yeah, let's not forget Spurs played midweek too.
So they played in Europe midweek. So what ? Spurs also did this, but with the exact same set of players, apparently are not effected in the slightest in the eyes of Sky.
For me, them playing on Thursday just proves two thing. They are not the big club everyone keeps telling us, and have no experience of balancing two competition, confirming their small club history.

Steve, annoyed me to feck. Spurs have been playing on a Thursday/Sunday for most of the Century. WTF did they have to keep mentioning West Ham played a home game on Thursday, every five minutes, without ever mentioning Spurs had an away game just 24 hours earlier.
