I remember RVP being quite injured earlier in his career but during his peak he stayed pretty fit. I mean he had 2 seasons on the trot of playing in all 38 league games.

Somehow one of those seasons happened to be at Arsenal. He managed to escape the clutches of the Arsenal physios. If he'd been young and English however, it would've been a different story.

Good point. Not really sure what happened, maybe he just willed it into existence till he won that title then went back to not caring.

I’d still have mane over salah. Salah is effective of course. But the way Liverpool played completely caters to getting him the ball quickly and isolated on the full back as quickly as possible. Still think mane has more to his game and if took the pens they’d probably have similar output. Salah is fantastic don’t get me wrong but think he’s a lot of kick and rush. Much prefer mane, drogba, yaya.

Between Van Persie getting on the pitch and Drogba staying on his feet...this is really not an easy choice.

Comes down to what you prefer from your striker

I’d still have mane over salah. Salah is effective of course. But the way Liverpool played completely caters to getting him the ball quickly and isolated on the full back as quickly as possible. Still think mane has more to his game and if took the pens they’d probably have similar output. Salah is fantastic don’t get me wrong but think he’s a lot of kick and rush. Na they’re better than that but they play high energy, high transition football and try and get salah and mane isolated early and with quick balls into them. Taa and Robertson push up as quick as possible to do this to great effect.

So..route 1

Salah’s more comparable to Henry than Drogba.

Drogba was a terror in big games (especially against us), but player for player RVP is miles better. Technically they're not even in the same league.
