Is 71 points enough for 4th ?
Fixtures / reasonable results:
Brighton (h) - 3
Brentford (a) - 1
Leicester (h) - 3
Liverpool (a) - 0
Arsenal (h) - 1
Burnley (h) - 3
Norwich (a) - 3
Total 14 + 57 = 71 points
Above results based on all known current form, coupled with factoring in the "derby" effect of form going out the window.
I have been cautious with the Brentford game, partly as they have hit some form, plus we all know Eriksen will play well against us.
Liverpool are too good with the Anfield factor always going against us. The other predicted wins are not unreasonable in my opinion.
Looking at our rivals, Utd are in just too much of a mess, have harder fixtures and need to make up 7 points if you factor in goal difference.
West Ham balloon has burst, due to a weak squad depth and European commitments that have stretched them. Plus 7 points to make up on us, same as Utd.
Wolves 8 points behind, a game more played and are simply not good enough to make that gap up.
So that just leaves Arsenal. Looking at their remaining run in, and being as generous and realistic as possible:
Southampton (a) - 1
Chelsea (a) - 0
Man Utd (h) - 3
West Ham (a) - 1
Leeds (h) - 3
Spurs (a) - 1
Newcastle (a) - 1
Everton (h) - 3
Total 13 + 53 = 66 points
So, you could say if Arsenal win the NLD that changes things, but they will still only end up with 68 points, whilst we will end up with 70 points. And that factors in Arsenal beating Utd and not losing at both Southampton and Newcastle. Neither are a given.
Yes we could imploded. God knows we have done that often in the past. But it would take an absolutely catestropic slump in form, literally overnight, for us to mess up from here in.

I tried this whole prediction thing then we lost to Wolves, Southampton, Burnley and Middlesborough. Absolutely no point. We WILL lose games that you have is down to win and Arsenal WILL win games you’ve got them down to lose.
Logic would say though that we’re in the driving seat. I honestly think they’re gonna face a really angry Southampton team after their 6-0 drubbing by Chelsea. If Arsenal face the same side that butchered us, they’ll lose too. I think it’s also beginning to fall into place in terms of timing too. To face Burnley and Norwich in the last two games is likely to mean they’re already dead and buried with nothing to fight for. A lot of our games aside from Liverpool and Arsenal, are against teams with one eye on the beach this summer.

Although I think Spurs may be capable taking a point at Anfield, I have given them another defeat, so as not to appear biased. Probably playing Liverpool at a good time, as all their games will now start to catch up. Salah is already looking done.

Yeh Chelsea will definitely come back to the pack next season. They won`t have the investment they had under the crook.
