Hull (A)
Well, that was rather disappointing! Automatic wasn’t assured of course, but we were in the mix. A phenomenal achievement to get so close.
Surridge hitting the bar and another referee / linesman apology means nothing after the fact. Referees seem to make more mistakes every year, mistakes that have ultimately left the game against Hull nothing more than a runout for the fringe and U23 players. Maybe that will be a blessing in disguise. Our players getting an extra 3-4 days rest than the injury plagued Luton, Millwall, Sheffield United and of course Boro.
Second half we weren’t good enough. Tiredness maybe, frustration for some (Johnson in particular) and a lack of options from the bench. The substitutions felt too late. Hopefully we learn from it, as the excitement and associated stress (!) goes on a little longer. We failed in our mini play-off, let’s hope we get to go again and do better in one that guarantees promotion.
No form this week. We’re playing Hull for a league position. 5th and 6th are up for grabs for four teams as mentioned.
Ideally I’d like to see us play Luton. With all their players out then surely we can’t have as poor as referee display as before. It would be sweet revenge to batter them over two legs.
After that, anyone but Boro! Hopefully Boro aren’t there at all.
If we can get through the two legs then it’s Huddersfield or whoever. If this forum is anything to go by it’s bound to be Huddersfield!!
Team News:
Will Davis and Lowe be back for the play-offs? I wouldn’t risk them at Hull if they are ready. As mentioned on the Bournemouth thread i’d rest the first team, but maybe Cooper wants to get over this asap?
Prediction:
No idea on this one, for a multitude of reasons!!

It is what it is, at least Sheffield Utd tries to play football we have not been able to breakdown Luton with their offensive formation.
It will be a very close game with maybe only one goal in it.
Let's hope we can get vengeance for 2002-2003

Afternoon guys
I'm chuffed to bits finishing 3rd...a great achievement regardless of what happens now
I'm glad it's Luton for us...Don't fancy the stress of a Yorkshire Derby tbh....Although I will say Luton were a better team at our place and are very good at time-wasting and being dirty
Hopefully we will meet in the final

Not sure VAR will help Luton’s cause, I think you’ll be too strong over two legs, I think our semi will be closer than yours, that last minute fluke at Dull could prove to be very costly.

We will need a full strength team to do that.

For you youngsters, here's a grisly tale of rising hopes and broken dreams. Sleep well...
Championship (1st division) - 2002/3 - Paul Hart - 6th.
Semi-final first leg: Forest 1 Undead 1, second leg: Undead 4 Forest 3. Still hurts.
League 1 - 2006/7- Colin Colinwood - 4th.
Semi-final first leg: Yevoli 0 Forest 2, second leg: Forest 2 Yivelo 5. This was the tragic culmination of the Big Red Train season. It hurt so much we wrote a book about it. Some people didn't pay for their copy.
Championship - 2009/10 - Oor Billeh - 3rd.
Semi-final first leg: Blackpoo 2 Forest 1, second leg: Forest 3 Blackpoo 4. Absolute bloody chaos of a football match, thanks to Hologram's chancers. We've never forgiven the old fraud.
Championship - 2010/11 - Oor Billeh - 6th.
Semi-final first leg: Forest 0 Abertawe 0, second leg: Abertawe 3 Forest 1. Doesn't hurt as much as the others. Maybe we just got used to it...
...until now.
Friday May 13th - 7.45 - Lutontown v Uddersfeel
Sat May 14th - 3.00 - Sheff Undead v Nottm Forest
Mon May 16th - 7.45 - Uddersfeel v Lutontown
Tues May 17th - 7.45 - Nottm Forest v SheffUndead
Sunday May 29th - 4.30 - Championship Playoff Final
