Spoiler alert, this is probably reactionary as im upset that we couldn’t get past that Madrid side.
What do we do in the summer? This squad has got to 3 finals and went into the final day of the season chasing the league. It’s an incredible season, winning 2 trophies is an incredible season. But, we didn’t get one of the big 2 that we coveted.
So what do we do to reclaim the league and/or CL?
Do we stick with what we have and just add 1 or two players for squad depth?
Do we shift one or 2 of the OG front three on and bring in some fresh ideas? Diaz absolutely lifted this squad.
Do we make wholesale changes in midfield and shift Milner, Keita and Ox on?
Anyways, amazing season and this squad are incredible. It feels like a bit of an end of an era though with both mane and Salahs contracts not being sorted and both possibly looking to move on.

We need a midfielder and thats about it really. A real top class ball player that also has the energy required to work in our midfield. If we get that we are good to go again.
If mane leaves we need something else up top though.

Mane too.

I feel a little bit sorry for Liverpool. I think you have bought amazingly well in the last 5 years, and got very fortunate at times, which every team with a budget needs with some transfers in and out. You could have easily won 3 leagues, and 3 champions leagues with the squad you assembled, "only" one league title and a champions league is unfortunate.
I think with Mane possibly leaving, Salah possibly leaving, getting a bit older. City getting Haaland, I think you might start to regress a bit from next season. Hopefully you buy very well in over the next 12-18 months, because it will be boring if City walk the league every year.

If Salah doesn't want to sign, sell him. If Mane wants to go, sell him. They had one of the biggest games of their career and they were both more obsessed with their futures all week which I cannot stand.
We can replace both.

Buy a RB who can defend, try to keep Mane or replace him.
