When he appointed SM he told him that funds would be available, but totally failed to deliver this promise, he made SM look totally the guilty party in this link

He appears to blame just the appointment of SM is the reason of him leaving, yet he doesn't mention the promises he made.

If he's really hanging McLaren out to dry, then that's very bad form in my opinion. There's a world of difference between saying 'it's my fault' and 'it's my fault I hired a cr@p manager!'

Shouldn't Doughty be phoning SM & saying sorry I lied to you in your interview? If he'd delivered what was said to be promised they'd be at the opposite end of the table.
