I think it's quite clear to see that the appointment of McClaren was a bad call, which was seemingly done as a rush job, almost as if Doughty was desperate to get a manager of SM's experience and standard without thinking properly as to whether he would work well within the Championship.
I do feel sorry for McClaren as he does seem like a good guy but was just in the wrong place at the wrong time. I've mentioned elsewhere that his tactical preferences are more suited to the continental game, hence success in Holland and the UEFA Cup with Boro.
The bottom line is that we just don't know what he was promised as no transfer budget figures are available and probably never will be.
whatever happened, it's providing entertainment for derby county fans.
the ss schitty ground has run aground and is taking on water. will it set sail again to the promised land, not at the mo.
i'm just glad they are suffering.
up the rams.
What goes around comes around. If the boot was on the other foot we would be laughing at you. Enjoy it while it lasts.
True Stan Lee but it's not. Do you know if Doughty will write off the money the club owes him or will he continue to collect the interest. Interest on £60M even at 1% would make me happy.
If he's really hanging McLaren out to dry, then that's very bad form in my opinion. There's a world of difference between saying 'it's my fault' and 'it's my fault I hired a cr@p manager!'

Is there an echo in here, or has a parrot escaped.

But Forest fans have gloated over our misery for the past four years, from Mears Great Escape to Paul Jewell's VT escapades, poor results and league placings, NLN and Debtby.
We're merely returning the favour this time round.
Stan It's always how it's been with us as rivals. We mocked your relegation to L1 and then imploded in the PL. We went unbeaten for several years against you and then got whacked 5-2.
Each gets their turn.
Up yours, Forest.
You have done nothing but gloat over Derby's finances for years. I hope you go bust.
Shouldn't Doughty be phoning SM & saying sorry I lied to you in your interview? If he'd delivered what was said to be promised they'd be at the opposite end of the table.
lets all laugh at forest la la la la
i hope they go under, as im a die hard ram and thats my opinion on my bitter rivals
