I think we were in for Adeyemi but he chose Dortmund. Understandably I guess, although he may not play as much as he initially thought with Haller going there too.

we were, we tried to hijack the deal at the last mnute... as per waited too long.

I still think had we actually gone in for Darwin Nunez ( if reports are to be believed that ETH was interested) we would have got him... not because we are a bigger draw but because we could have had him done and dusted before Liverpool showed any real interest.

That's why the Ronaldo situation (if true) is so disruptive and would indicate Ronbaldo's complete lack of respect for the club and fans. Should have made the decision and announced it months ago so United could work to replace him. Also, the wages could free up a lot of funds to get the other deals over the line.

Rubbish. He's trying to put pressure on The Glazers to invest. If the fans, the rest of this squad and this puppet of a manager did the same we wouldn't be in this mess. He's given everyone associated with the club an open goal to pipe up and demand more, anyone who stays quiet now is just as big a problem as The Glazers.

Instead we have Glazer PR about how Ronnie is causing problems while the 4x relegated captain is grinning in training photo's.

There is no Glazer publicity about Ronaldo. There's just the story that he wants to go and play for a CL team. If he wanted to use this to put pressure on us to invest well, he could have made a conditional threat at the end of the season, rather than announcing an intention to leave when several deals look close to fruition, at which point the club has much less capacity to respond.
