For a guy who wasn’t even a starter at the beginning of last season it’s terrific.

Particularly when you think back to one of Basseys first appearances as a CB away in Europe last season. He was an absolute bomb scare.

The work Gio and his team have done with him is remarkable

Wasn't so long ago I was saying Bassey has talent but is never a CB. Credit to both him and the coaches for such an impressive increase in levels. Hope he does well at Ajax. Players moving on from us for big money and having further success is another big factor in us getting good value for future sales - as the trajectories of Van Dijk & Wanyama have helped Celtic command higher fees for further transfers.

It’s also a massive factor in us enticing the next generation here as well,especially the cross border sales like Aribo and Bassey as we can put them firmly at the front when trying to get others to decide to sign

Only difference is I might get bombarded by some saying eh whit about jota, kyoga etc, whereas I know gingernuts is a honest poster whom point I understand.

If Morelos had better finishing he'd easily be £50m+ player because he ragdolls defenders for fun. The fact he gets a pretty decent goal return is testament to the sheer number of chances he helps create because you'd swear he's shooting with his eyes shut half the time.
