Davies has signed a 3 year contract, great servant to the club and a complete professional, happy for him to stay

Still don’t think he’s good enough… would he get in another top 4… or even top 6 club??
Granted he’s a better LCB than LB
If we can bring in a decent LCB… then I would sell him…
But I really don’t know what Lenglet is going to be like…
Just think our LCB & RWB options are our weakest link, in an otherwise formidable team/squad.

Very happy with this. I have a lot of time for Davies.
Agree that LCB in a three is his best position. Got to Euro semi with Wales playing there, so no surprise to me he’s excelled under Conte in that position.
Going into his ninth season with us 👏

I am also a fan of Davies, he is consistent especially as a LCB.
Don’t think he gets enough credit from some of our “entitled fans”

I have never been a great fan of Davies, but he finished the season OK, so probably deserves his new contract. As a squad player he is fine, but I still think he needs upgrading if Spurs are really looking to win the big trophies.

3 yr contract-you sure-long time for a guy over 30
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Whereas most players in the 60’s & 70’s seemed to retire or go to lower league clubs when they reached 30/31, this was mainly because of their lifestyle and training regime. Lots of them smoked, drank like fish often at pubs frequented by fans. They also were not the healthiest when it came to food.Training was a necessary evil.
Now players if they look after themselves can often carry on playing well into their 30’s. Training and diet plays a massive part in their lives. Players like Kane are tee total and do not abuse their bodies. Clubs use hi-tech equipment to monitor and develop their physiques to the optimum.
They are now athletes, not just footballers. Hence the reason why it is far less of a risk now to give a contract to a player into his thirties.👍
