Have Spurs already lost....

today's match against Chelsea?

You'd think so if you listened to the biased media. In the build up to the match all they've been going on about is Spurs' poor record against Chelsea and at Stamford Bridge.

Spurs' good start and great summer window has barely had a mention, and Spurs' record since January compared to Chelsea hasn't even been mentioned at all. A lot of Spurs fans seem to be buying into it too, going into todays game just hoping for a draw.

Why is it that when Spurs play Man City, Man City's awful record against Spurs just gets a throwaway line on Sky Sports before they spend the rest of the build up talking about how great City are and how they'll beat us anyway, whereas when we play Chelsea, the media make their record against us the main focus and the reason why we won't win?

Also don't get me started on the Arsenal fans. The amount of "we are nailed on top 4" or "We will challenge the top two" comments from them is breath taking.

The media also never mention that between 1915 and 1952, that`s 37 years, Spurs only lost one league game at Stamford Bridge.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
That might be because it's olds, i.e. the opposite of news.

It might also because 37 years makes it sound like it was a huge amount of games when in reality it was just 11, and that the Chelsea win more or less in the middle means that the longest-ever streak is about 6 or 7 games tops. I honestly can't see why the media ought to revisit such a dull stat.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Nope i think they just don't play each other
----------------------------------------------------------------------

LOL well Spurs won eight times at Stamford Bridge, so they obviously did play each other.

Pretty much every article I’ve read is very positive about our chances today. Whoever the OP is, posts like this are an utter embarrassment. It’s just getting weirder. Maybe it’s the heat.
----------------------------------------------------------------------

Why is it embarrassing for a Spurs supporter to be positive about Spurs chances today? I would be more embarrassed if I was a Spurs supporter and said Spurs have no chance today.

He’s not being positive. He’s moaning that the media are talking down our chances when that simply isn’t true. Everyone is talking us up. Our board is full of pointless posts like this. It’s getting boring. Why can’t we talk about football rather than these cringe attention seeking “everyone hates us” articles.

We’ve got lots to be positive about. Looking forward to the game.

Well said and spoken as a true fan. This really could be the beginning of a sustainable period of success for Spurs. And apart for handful of kant fans like Sandy and Co, I would not begrudge your fans that.

Why is it that when Spurs play Man City, Man City's awful record against Spurs just gets a throwaway line on Sky Sports before they spend the rest of the build up talking about how great City are and how they'll beat us anyway,
-------------------------------------------
That's probably based on the fact that over the last 10 years, City have won 16 games to Spurs 10
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Now now Boris don’t be reasonable

The media obsession with some spurs fans is embarrassing

There is no facking conspiracy

----------------------------------------------------------------------

Boris conveniently forgetting that prior to the previous 10 years Spurs beat City 23 times to just five losses in all competitions in the Prem era. Amusing how he selects just the past 10 seasons.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
I don’t think he’s necessarily forgetting it, but it’s not at all relevant. This isn’t a conversation about our head to head record throughout history. It’s about an ‘alleged’ media bias. So when the media talk about Spurs vs City, they’re likely to focus on the recent record, ie since City got all the money. Before then isn't really relevant to that conversation.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
It's 65 all if you want to go back to the Dawn of Time.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Nah Boris - let’s just stick to the present, say the last 12months!!
Can we play you every week?

30 seconds

That's how long it took Martin Tyler to mention our record against Chelsea.
