Sounds crazy to suggest this and I’m probably going to get slaughtered for it but does Sonny need dropping for a few games. He’s been very poor in our opening fixtures but more worrying for me he just seems a little de-motivated. Maybe he’s just tired from a gruelling pre-season or just had some mental burnout from the highs of last season, but he’s certainly not performing to the level we expect so far.
From everything that’s been coming out from Spurs over the summer Conte is looking to create a culture of there not being a guarenteed starting 11. If that’s the case it should apply to everyone even the superstars of the team. On top of that we’ve just brought in a £50M attacker to play across the frontline whenever one of the traditional first choices is injured or out of form. What was the point of bringing him in for so much money if not for exactly these sorts of situations. Honestly, I would be completely okay with Richie starting the Wolves match instead of Sonny. Thoughts?

The stick son is getting from fans after 2 games is an absolute embarrassment and a joke. Kane has arguably been worse, yes he scored last minute but was shocking all match and missed for him, a sitter.

No player should be immune from criticism. Both have stunk the place out with their performances but Son has been really bad.

Stupid remarks, both Kane and Son are on their day WC, if you don’t recognise that then you don’t know enough about football.
Both have won the top striker award in the PL, which is the toughest league in the World & both are on the list for B’allon de Or

I just think World Class gets banded about Spurs fans like confetti when it comes to Son and Kane.
Kane yes deserves it the label with some of his performances but other times like on Sunday he was abysmal. Hadn't he scored he would have got a rating of 3 out of 10. Nothing stuck to him and the one on one chance he fluffed was Sunday League at best. He ate grass after shooting.
When Son is one on one with a keeper you could say he is world class but there are other areas in his game which need work. He has hardly no strength and easily bullied off the ball. Sunday performance was not a one off. We have seen it before.
World class means you do it week in, week out. Well it used to, now the term has been dilluted and lost it's true meaning.
Both are still very very good players who are excellent on their day but I am tired of them losing the ball in some games and it ends up with us getting dominated by teams like Southampton, Brighton, Burnley, Wolves as well as the big 6 teams.
Nothing is stupid about my remarks. Both have below the standards we know they are capable and under performed badly.

If Kane and Son aren't considered world class then the list is very very small

I have no problem with that.

Poor performances do not diminish their standing in the football community as top class and World Class too.
However you are of course entitled to your opinion whether it is right or wrong🤔😵💫

What do we mean by “poor”? They were up against some very high quality defenders, and tactically Tuchel out did Conte for most of the match. Some times you have to hold your hands up and say individuals and the team were out played. But I don’t think that’s means they were poor, just bettered, and you can’t come out on top in every single game.
Dropping either of the players after two games is just madness. Ten games in and we’re still having issues then fine, but we r got to give them half a chance to start firing on all cylinders.
The benefit of this squad however seems to be that goals can come from all over the place - so there is less reliance on Son and Kane. I say let them ride it out; class is permanent, and it’ll click very quickly I imagine

I don't think Conte will drop either but there is no harm in doing so. We have plenty of games to go and with Son's pace he would be a good asset off the bench against tired legs with 30 mins to go. He would get the message that he has to do better.

When Son got going Chelsea simply fouled him.
And they man-marked him too.
The way to deal with that is for referees to card the offenses.
It will soon stop!
