Leclerc continuing to show he just doesn’t have the mentality to win the WC
As funny as Ferraris decision making is….was him that was speeding in pit lane, can’t blame the team for that one
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Ferrari called him in with a too small gap
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Aye… it if he doesn’t speed in the pit lane, he doesn’t get the time penalty, he gets fifth instead of sixth
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Probably further behind Alonso then and doesn't catch 5th back
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Really don’t think it would have made that big a difference, he got past Alonso on the straight with time to spare
----------------------------------------------------------------------
I don't think he's getting fastest lap if you know he is released to battle with Alonso, so seems a pointless risk.

Totally agree....but was still down to him speeding in the pit lane that cost him fifth

The gap between Max' FL and Leclerc was 2.5s, how is he going to bridge that gap in the final lap on cold tyres being released behind Alonso. It is entirely the pitwall's fault. They should have easily calculated that it wasn't going to happen.

He still went too quick in the pit lane...team didn't do that

The team did do that. Limiter failed and the back-up wasn't calbrated properly. Just another ferarri bit of fun!

They never should have called him in. That's where it went wrong.

Calling someone in for fastest lap is comman practice, he had a drs tow that last lap aswell from alonso so absolutely no excuse to not it, I know its a cool thing to blame ferrari but that just like france amd imola was all on leclerc, he's catching up with ferraris mistakes, also surprised Lewis didn't get a grid penalty, they must have thought him retiring was enough punishment especially since alosnos race wasn't effected too much

Great win for Max even if they rest of the grid were in Formula 2 cars

There was no time enough for the pitstop to come out in front of alonso. It was taking a silly risk for a 2 point difference.
