We cannot Sell Bernardo at Any Fee

If anything we have learnt that the group still needs this magical player. We cant sell him even if Barca offer 150 million. We are still in 1st gear but we have put points on the Board. The passing is dreadful and the press is not coordinated at all. Fortunately we have a cheat code now in Haaland and we can get away with performances like today.

I'm not convinced with the Stones and Dias partnership. We need to bring context to the brilliance of that partnership which flourished during Covid when the game was much slower. Stones is VERY Rusty and therefore the passing from the back is a mess and Rodri looks below par. Think we need Laporte back. We even look better with Ake down that end aswell. With all CBs fit I think Stones and laporte could be our best partnership.

Nevertheless we will have to rely on our goal scoring midfielders and Haaland to carry us until we get rhythm.

Cancelo still concerns me. Play either slows down or breaks down on his end. We just need a good defensive leftback out there. Someone to give defensive balance and also offer width.

Onto Haaland the most impressive thing about him besides his world class movement and finishing abilities is his mentality. He doesn't stop making good runs and escaping defenders. I loved Jesus and wish he was still with us but in the second half he would have stopped making runs and start dropping deep into midfield to get involved.

Not sure anyone with a brain will argue that he will get a goal a game if not more. The key here is how crucial will his goals be.

I count 2 at Westham
1 at Newcastle
2 today against Palace.

The number of touches he makes or involvement he has in the game is irrelevant if he keeps scoring goals from nowhere or against the run of play. Again its his mentality to keep going that has proved to be the difference.

All of a sudden City are leaking goals!

Could Grealish, or even Foden, be good trade bait in order the toughen up the defense?

To be fair to Man City Palace XG was 0.09.

No one except city and maybe us would be mental enough to pay 100m for him. He’s going nowhere unless city accept a hefty loss…

No, getting Ake and Laporte fit again would toughen up our defence.

A recent report from Diario AS has offered an update on Barcelona’s pursuit of Bernardo Silva.

It appears the Catalans have ruled out the signing of the Portuguese international due to their financial condition. The club are not in a position to afford Manchester City’s exorbitant price tag for the playmaker.

The report also sheds light on how Man City are playing a critical role in blocking the transfer. The Premier League giants are simply not willing to offload the player this late in the transfer market, knowing they will have very little time to replace him.

Not to mention, Pep Guardiola rates Bernardo Silva highly due to his technical prowess and versatility. He has been pivotal in the club’s success in recent seasons and the Cityzens are determined to keep hold of the player, for the foreseeable future.

Barcelona, therefore, have opted to rule themselves out of the pursuit of Silva. However, that has not deterred them from pursuing other players in the market.

Won't be looking at any United players if they are looking at the best players will they?

"The club are not in a position to afford Manchester City’s exorbitant price tag for the playmaker."

That was my favourite line since the quote is off a Barca site.

Not a big club lol. I reckon Man City owners are trying to find a way to get more Man City fans.😂

Big clubs win things on a pretty regular basis Hafi. Bringing in thousands from SE Asia to fill the stadium or counting the shirts sold in west Africa may make United think they are still relevant but City will concentrate on winning stuff thanks.
