Didn’t EH score 3 today?

Fortunately we have a cheat code now in Haaland and we can get away with performances like today.

No the cheat code is called Money. Injecting whatever insane money it takes to get it fixed

In fact, City are playing in cheat mode

He's 2nd only to KDB imo. Wonderful player and even as a Leeds fan, want players like Silva to stay. Great to watch

How much have Spurs spent this summer? How much have City spent? Spurs have brought in a virtual new team while City merely replaced and have probably made a net gain on sales this summer. It is Spurs in cheat mode, spending money Lewis should have paid tax on in any case.

Cheating, but still losing, the true Spurs way.

He wants to go.

Don’t think selling him would be entertained otherwise but he’s gonna run down his deal and leave for free if not sold

He seemed happy enough with Pep after the game

Tough one, Bernardo has been one of the best Premier League players of the past 10 years, can argue also one of the best ever PL players, crazy to let him go, but if he and his family are wanting to try somewhere new, guess you can't stop him, he's earned the right to leave certainly

posted on 27/8/22

If Silva needs to leave then we shouldn't stop him but he will be going for twice the price silly papers have mentioned... Chelsea have paid 60m for a one good season defender, does the 'journalist' really believe Silva will go for a similar price?
The guy is in his prime years and has years left on his contract. He will go for the right price at this moment.
Replacement will be an issue as no other city player can offer what he does.

On defence, I would give it time. Our defence normally starts rusty. Jones just stood there watched the ball hit his knee! Shockingly slow reaction! Cancelo has always been a problem defensively against better opposition and general a bit too loose at times.

I am very impressed with Haaland and how quick he has adapted so far. He is sharp, fast, strong and has the confidence to finish. Couldn't care less about touch, the whole point of him is that he gives a different dimension.

Hadn't played on FIFA since FIFA 04, but PS+ for either April or May gave me the latest FIFA for free, somehow once id started career mode, United signed Bernardo Silva off City, how I don't know, but he made things much easier for me before my 'created' player was loaned off to a Championship club the following January But yeah, Bernardo is great, the perfect Pep sort of player

Surprised your players did not protest. Probably happy with the 2-0 and confident they would win again.I also felt there was no foul but the ref blew the whistle before the ball hit the net and to be fair city players stopped playing.

Even at 3-0 down I still think we would have got a point. I felt your lot was gutless once the equalizer went in. Totally folded

Rich (excuse the pun) from the FFP doping team <laugh.

spent like £2bn on the side and asks us about our spending

We for your info, did not spend anything for many a window, and that is common knowledge. Unlike your Sheikh injected glory hunters side

Shall we compare City's spending vs Spurs in the last 5 years?

Yet you've only ever been in 1 CL final same as us

It’s not always about transfer fees. City can pay the astronomical wages and agent fees.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Chelsea and United have higher wage bills, Liverpool's is the same as City's. So how does that work?

posted on 28/8/22

I think City only have 2 players on over 300k. Wages are structured more on bonuses as far as I’m aware. Obviously we pay a level above what Spurs do as a base rate, many players are on the 200+ mark where I think Spurs only have a few, but the club is more successful than Spurs too so I don’t think it’s disproportionate or astronomical in comparison.

I think we’ve done really good business this summer with both incomings and outgoings. The only potential problem is letting Zinchenko go. Surprised that was sanctioned given how badly our defence was hit at the tail end of last season, arguably costing us a place in the CL final. See how we get on, but I don’t think the return of the Kevin Keegan you score 3 we’ll score 4 is necessarily a good thing 😂

The player who's proving to be more indispensible is Nathan Ake.

2 full games plus 20 minutes of him playing and we didn't concede a goal.

1 game plus 70 minutes since he was injured against Newcastle and we have conceded 6 goals.

Man Utd turned into a laughing stock on transfers and wages recently. The thing is we could spend £100m less on wages and £200M less squad cost and have a better squad than we do now.

This is a more upto date wage bill and since then a few more big wage bill players have turned up.

What's this got to do with Bernardo?

posted on 28/8/22

Boris sorry looking at discussion on wages. I think Bernardo Silva is Man City best signing under Pep. I was hoping he would leave to weaken Man City.

posted on 28/8/22

You can hardly blame Bernardo for wanting the move though. The chance to play for such a big club might not come along very often for him.
