Ball time in play….shocking

I don't recall anybody ever being sent off for time wasting, pure and simple. If Pickford had been booked and then went on to further waste time, I doubt the ref would have further booked him. So giving a yellow for time wasting is an empty gesture.

There’s a simple solution….. “ball should be back in play within 30 seconds or the ball is given to the opposition… at the same point” …. Eg turning a goal kick into a corner, or a free kick from one way to the opposite.

itd be better than what we have now, however the refs wouldnt uphold it, they dont properly uphold timewasting punishment or the added time on. the leeds game got 3 mins added on and the ref blew 10 seconds early

It ain’t that hard to implement though is it?! They’ve got it in tennis so it’s easily available. And they only need it to manage total time played (needed for TV), rather than it having any influence on the final result.
And for those who say the players need a break… they’ve got 5 subs now to use

take game time away from refs, every time live play stops, ref blows whistle clock is stopped by an off field official, when it enters live play clock is started, then ref gets told when to blow for half / full time.

There is the 6 second rule that was brought out years ago but never gets used, the keeper picks the ball up he has 6 seconds to get rid!..

Why its there is anyones guess!..

There should be a limit on how long a player has to take a throw in, or the keeper/player has to take a dead ball!..

Corners could be added to it as well!..

Players faking injury and getting play stopped should be booked, a ref should know when its a fake or serious injury!..

You could see the ref last night was talking to his assistant while their keeper was holding up play, baffling not knowing why they didn't agree with each other and book him!..

Spoiled the game last night and showed football up for the cheat sport it really is!..

It’s simple, you waste time, kick the ball away etc, yellow card.

Their players throwing the ball miles from our player trying to take a throw in, yellow card. Do it again, Red. Simple.

Funny how fast a lot of them screw their legs back on when the ref ignores them!..

These are the ones that should be booked, and before anyone says anything, I mean Leeds players as well!..

When I played on the school playground I got kicked harder then most of these players, we had to get up and get on with it even with tears in our eye's!,,
