It was capital investment into the club, not a transfer ‘war chest’. We’ve spent good money on transfers, approx £125m net across the last two windows (2022). That includes the £50m signing of Romero, plus Bentancur, Kulu, Bissouma, Richarlison, Spence and a solid loan deal for Perisic. Very hard to criticise our business if you ask me.

Even if this other money is available I’d rather we spent some more in Jan on the right players (another top quality CB) than waste it now on the dregs as the window closes.

Next stop for Levy/Fab has to be new contracts for Kane and Conte.

Don’t get the logic of this article really, feels like moaning for the sake of it.

Fairly sure Ace was referring to the Financial Services Aurthority, since replaced by the Financial Conduct Authority.

Made me chuckle though.

Bissouma ....did nothing today to justify any investment, just a stupid kid with no vision. Betancur far better player.
Lenglet.......Yet to see him do anything.
Udogie... Might be an answer to left side of defence whenever he gets here!
Who else did we buy, maybe a goalkeeper, I've forgotten.
Frankly this squad is going to struggle to win anything.
I'm not saying it won't. I'm saying it will be touch & go.
