On Saturday Wolves welcome Southampton to Molineux.
After their 0-0 draw at Bournemouth on Wednesday Wolves will be desperate for 3 points before a run of tricky games in the next few weeks.
Having played on Wednesday Bruno Lage will almost certainly make some changes to his starting 11. The question is will it be too soon for his new striker Sasa Kalajdzic to make his debut in front of a capacity Molineux crowd? Hopefully not as Raul Jimenez looks to be a spent force.
Lage may even consider a change of formation from his normal 4.3.3 to 4.4.2 and have both his strikers leading the line, an option which he has never had before.
Southampton have had mixed results so far this season. In their 5 games they have recorded wins against Leicester and Chelsea, losses to Spurs and Man U and a draw with Leeds.
The resulting 7 points puts them currently in 8th place in the table.
Of their 7 league goals, Che Adams has scored 4.
Gem’s prediction: 2-1

Just finished watching the u21's. Ended 1-1. Campbell with a 25 yd screamer for the equalizer. Bruno with a thunderous shot that clipped the bar and flew over the stand.

U21s drew 1-1 with Fulham at Kidderminster tonight. Fulham went ahead after 75 minutes but 5 minutes later a great long distance shot from Chem Campbell brought us level. Wolves did all the pressing after that and nearly won it at the end when Bueno hit the crossbar from 25yards with such pace that the ball deflected up over the stand behind the goal and out of the stadium

Must have been an interesting game with the thunderstorm in Kidderminster this evening. Still raining heavily now (at 10.20 pm)

I didn't think we could get a loan in outside the window - GKs are usually an exception.

Yeah dead right, only keepers allowed to move on emergency loans out of window. Was reading the loan move rules earlier and it didn't say anything about time restrictions, but they're classed as temporary transfers these days and require transfer of registration which can only happen during the window.

The torrential rain only started as we approached full time. Wolves U21's did well and Ronan came off as planned after 60 mins or so. Fulham rarely threatened and it was a mix up by Lembikisa that led to their goal.
Fully deserved the point and could have won it, but for the crossbar.

Diego Costa arriving for a medical but there are concerns about whether we could get a visa for him
Mixed feelings about signing him. Has been very good in the past but a thug and one with a reputation for stirring things up on the training ground. But given we face the rest of the season with just one striker again then probably there isn’t a better option out there.
Having said that, Chem Campbell is really progressing and might at least provide decent cover for Raul. The other question if Raul doesn’t do any better than last season, could we adopt to style to play without a true centre forward. It’s possible but I suspect unlikely we could make that work

I think "one of the best frontlines in the division" should be able to adapt to various styles of play
